So, I get off work at 7:00am......now I'm eating malt-o-meal. I think breakfast lunch and dinner and really starting to lose all meaning.

When I was in high school it was Adidas, Cons and Pumas with Adidas leading the pack. I graduated back in '80.
I've watched them fade out to Nike and Reebock and various other brands, only to resurface again some 25-30 years later.

 

back in the 90s Asahi was a budget priced shoe for playing tennis. As in, actually made for the sport. Shoes last a while with me (my last pair of redwings lasted for 5 years) but I wore out those Asahi in less than 6 months. I used them for the sport, though, and I tended to drag my right foot while serving. The point is that I put them through some unusual wear.

If you want to find another pair you might try searching through tennis supply stores.

The well doubled in water over the last week of extreme conservation, and I'm on the track to getting my depression under control. I'm almost an hour into work, and I haven't killed, choked, or stabbed anyone yet, so all in all, things appear to be off to a half decent start.

In other news, since I was running behind this morning, and had a few dollars in my wallet, I decided to stop by Sonic on the way to work for a breakfast burrito and coffee.
Not very exciting, huh?
Well, on my way there, I decided to stick to my commitment to eat less and get more active. Worked 4 years ago when I dropped 40 pounds pretty quickly with minor changes, and today, I was going to order only one burrito. And I did.
Yeup, I pushed the button, ordered the new ultimate breakfast burrito and coffee, and waited.
Carhop comes out, hands me my coffee and sack while describing my order, paid her, and she left.
Before leaving, I unwrap the goods and set it on the seat so it's easier to get to once I'm down the road, aaaand....
..the wrapper has a sticker on it, which reads "Sausage".
Opened it up, sure enough, it's sausage only.
Well, considering the ultimate costs more, I've got to rectify this, so I push the button, explain the situation, and a minute later she's bringing me the correct burrito, and doesn't want the other back.
SOOOO....I stick to my commitment, and yet I STILL end up with two breakfast burritos....dang it. (and they sure were good :biggrin
