I spent 3 years in Germany, courtesy Uncle Sam. Excellent food.

glad you enjoyed your trip! We are camping this weekend, but then again... We are spending Saturday at a wedding and reception. So even though we will be "camping" I will be spending more time driving than we will at the campsite.

Yeah. Speaking of German food.. I need to make a trip to Das Essenhaus.

I spent about 5 minutes trying to figure out the 12. He is either the zero, nothingth or the third, not the twelfth. I can't believe I am running that dense...

Did I mention I am not feeling and running at 100%

he'd be a better candidate for 2042... (yeah, know it isn't a presidential year). I did eventually come up with 2012, but only after I wrapped my head in a pillow for a while.

Sounds like you need a pan-galactic gargle blaster.

In unrelated news... I've been struck with a fancy. (hasn't happened in quite some time, really) I have an urge to trade my 2001 s10 LS for a minivan and maybe a small gas powered scooter. I want to trick the van out for short camping trips and use the scooter for my 3 mile commute. I know it's not something I can afford right now--my little truck is probably only worth about 4 grand, and I absolutely cannot afford to take on any payments, so I'd either have to get an older (worse mileage) full-size (conversion?) van, or buy a real junker mini-van to stay on budget. It'd be cool if I could get an even trade for an old VW bus.

You guys talking about camping is just adding fuel to the wanderlust.

After having no money for a few months and having to have my parents buy groceries for my family a few times, we finaly have a bit of money! My wife started teaching piano again (thank you school year)! Now I don't feel so bad about ordering the bit of shaving supplies this last week!

Things are starting to go pretty well fo us now (my wife and I). We're just stressed out of our minds (a good stress though) as my wife leaves for Israel in a few days...well Sunday and she still has to get things together...rush at work...rush at home...all deadlines end this week though!

So, I got accepted and move into my apartment soon. I have already started a job, and look to start another job mid-October. Then getting married in November...things seem to be moving right along.

So I'm actually getting low on blades and am looking ahead to buying some more. Anybody willing to bum me two or three Voshkods? I really want to try them before buying, without having to pay full shipping costs just for one pack.

thanks, Jim! In other news, went to the Texas Department of Public Safety (or whatever they call it) and got my Driver's License. Okay, didn't actually get the license. It gets mailed to me in a week or three. What I got is a printed out piece of paper that functions as my driver's license until the real one arrives. Talk about weird. Every other DMV I've been to makes your driver's license while you wait and you walk out with it.

Indiana is now online only. The only thing you can do at the local branch is take the actual driving test and submit a few forms. Otherwise, all license renewal, tag renewal, etc.. is online. Speaking of which... I wonder if I ever received my trailer tags when I renewed last year. I better get those on the camper... if I can find them...

Man it is pouring rain here in the Florida Panhandle. I was driving down the road, when all of a sudden a lightening strike came within 100 yards of me. Man, that scared the crap out of me. Just got home from work, and I must say, I'm a little bored right now...I was wanting to wait to shave for a couple of more days, but I am getting tempted to go ahead and shave now...

Went to the favorite sushi spot after work (favorite while not going home at night anyway) and had the worst sushi I've had there. At least the Sake was good.

I've been traumatized playing Picture Tag. Evil thread! Evil!

FWIW, do not Google Image Search "sick kitty". Really, don't.

Bad sushi is not so good, Erik.
I had an off-putting experience at my favorite Chinese restaurant tonight. Not going back ever.
