Most everyday's Shave Arko Shave Stick-bowl lathered Omega Baby Pro-10029 1955-58 Schick Hydro-Magic EMS or Long's Drugs/Personna Arko-Nem moisturizer/Rebul Lavanda Colonia or Arko Aqua AS or both Cologne: Guerlain Habit Rouge EdT. I haven't been able to post for a while but the above has been giving me wonderful daily shaves...Used that set-up for a couple weeks and then for 3 days I used my "Black Tip Beauty" with a Perma-Sharp Super blade and I was in love again...I almost started a "I Love Perma-Sharp Supers" thread...3 passes left me BBS every day...Then I changed the blade in my Schick and removed a day and a half's whiskers in one pass of effortless pure joy....Been back on the Schick band-wagon for weeks....She's been maintaining an unprecedented consistency of heavenly whisker removal... Love you all....Great Shaves All Around
Friday Lord L6 Razor Wilkinson sword classic blade Tabac Shave soap Witchazel Tet a tet aftershave balm, I got from my TSD Store bag of cookies. Pinaud Stypic Yeah, many minute blood sacrifices this week, probably my fault, mostly in the chin area trying to get the stubborn hair. The Wilkinson blade performed well, I'll give it another shot tomorrow. I managed a DFS today which is good enough as I'm off work tonight anyways.

Friday: Omega Wooden Handle Super Speed/Personna day 5 Ingram SC Keri unscented moisturizer Barbon AS JHL Cologne 3 passes with Ingram are enough to freeze your face just right if you're a menthol lover like I am, and a couple of splashes of Barbon aftershave will complete the Arctic experience perfectly. The Personna blade is holding up very well. It should last for at least 1 more shave. Here is what the Barbon aftershave looks like.
Friday: Shumate 5/8 #018 The Dridecker Wilkinson Sword Stick Dickenson's Witch Hazel Nivea Sensitive Balm Avon Wild Country Cologne NOS It's been quite a while since I last used a straight. I've been waiting until I can get a strop but grew impatient so I did a little googling and found out I could use a legal pad, so that's what I did. Two pass wtg and I've got to say it's at least an sas shave, no irritation or blood to be seen.
I recall you got a sleeve of the Master Mug Soap soap but I didn't know it was Lilac Veg scented. And I didn't get VDH from your post, I thought maybe you made some Master's Lilac Veg AS and evaporated off the alcohol and added to some VDH? I did that with some AV and VDH and it was crazy nice. I'd never heard of lilac veg soap so I thought you might have done that. I may do that next actually (and menthol of course ). Nope, I didn't get one from your pif. So much pif'in at times I don't recall them all or if I attempted in one or who pif'd it even sometimes..... I know, it's bad and very ungrateful.
Friday's Shave: EJ 89L Voshkod (5 or 6...don't remember) TSD SOTQ Pacific Waters, home mentholated Simms boar Osage Rub AS Blade was a bit worn but I made it out alive! A few weepers but no pain or irritation. 3.5/5
Personna shavette Voskhod (2) TGN Silvertip TBS Maca Root Nivea Post Shave Balm Pinaud Clubman Finally a quality shave, even though at 6:30 I'm about 35% awake. Went the slow and careful route and it worked out nicely with just a couple nicks. One thing that helped was wiping the razor down periodically to keep a better grip. I also went with kind of a zen/jedi approach after the first WTG pass, rather than think about what pass i was on, just focus on the pass itself. It's not ATG, it's whatever it needs to be. Got a nice DFS as a result, with a little help from the progress set at 1 for a cleanup pass
I was kidding. Having just used a shavette, nearly anything other than that crazy ass dude using obsidian pales in comparison in aggression.
Have a great Friday and weekend; nice cool mornings in the lowcountry at 68 F and for the next week. While not my favorite blade, the Derby does its best for me when paired with the Futur.

Ha. True dat. That guy's an animal. But yeah - the shavette can be fairly unpleasant to say the least. I only use it because I have nothing else to practice my technique on

I am finding myself really listening to the shave. When it all goes right, the sound of the hair being removed from my face is beauty indeed. The Sounds of Shaving And the last two days, people I work with asked me what's different, I look like a babyface. Loving it. Keep the ideas coming everyone.
I wasn't bagging on it dude. I think if you can keep from bleeding out using a shavette that when you get your shave ready straight you won't have any problems at all. More power to you dude, you got more cajones than I do. I've walked by every shavette I've seen in the wild....out of fear and respect. A straight? Sure. Shavette, I squeal like a scared little girl and run the other direction
