Things are a bit better...

Daughter had a good day, went to an extra curricular meeting, and even happily worked concessions tonight, while I actually got to watch a home game. Lots of missed tackles, bad blocking, interceptions, fumbles.. it was like watching the Bengals play..

One of the missing cards showed up in the mail. Work HR is aware of the whole insurance thing. It sounds like Walgreens is just trying to get all the different companies in the area to gang up on the insurance companies to get a better rate for themselves. They should not have charged me the full amount of the prescription. I was fed up and when they told me that garbage yesterday, I just walked out and didn't get the prescriptions. It was a cruddy day after all. I guess if I had sat through the entire consultation, I would have found out that insurance will still cover prescriptions at Walgreens until the end of the year. According to our HR people, the contract between insurance and walgreens expires then and the insurance hasn't said that the decision to not renew contract with Walgreens is not 100%. Ugh...

The whole I9 thing... I guess that the person who was filing that paper work for a decade or so (starting a few years before I was hired) didn't keep proper records of the documentation and we are getting audited. So, this is a hurry up and get the right documents in place thing before the corporation gets $5000 per employee fines. We are talking about at least 10 years of I9 mess ups... ugh!

Actually, I can't recall what else went wrong yesterday, but I don't want to go look because I feel better at the moment. Thanks for the support everyone!

 

Glad to hear you've had some improvement. I haven't had anything very bad happen, I'm just insanely busy. Off to pack...

 

I'm just up at the plant for work that's just far enough away from home to be too far to drive back and forth every day. I've typically been staying 2 nights per week (3 days/wk of work at the plant) Thankfully the work laptop isn't locked down in terms of access and you never notice how I'm accessing TSD.

 

Once they put it that way...

 

Well, you know....moveable windows were so hard to understand! I never moved and resized windows anyways, like for instance, when I had two documents I was working with at the same time. Who needs such a silly feature?

 

what is it with boneheaded business decisions this week? Netflix. Facebook. And now Windows?

Wait a minute. Windows has always been a clunky mess. Reverting back to 1.0 might actually be an improvement.

My son turned 2 yesterday and TWGW and I are celebrating 9 years of wedded bliss today. A fantastic week going with a b'day weekend coming up where we'll be putting together a swing set and hoping the weather stays good so it can be enjoyed!
