Sunday Prep: 30 minute marinade with TSD ISZ PSB, hot shower, soak brush Coffee: Home roasted, fresh ground Kenya Safari Ridge, BLACK Soap: Williams Brush: Omega 10098 Razor: Gem MMOC Blade: Gem, day 4, 3+ passes Post: Cold water rinse, ice water splash, Dickenson's WH + 2 drops M Bomb Shave Rating: 5 Blades Tried something out of the ordinary, for me. I added a few drops of water to the top of the Williams puck just before stepping into the shower. Whipped up a very decent lather. Can't say for sure if it was the water soak or not because Friday's lather was very good, as well. That was with my Vulfix 406, The Burlington. So there you go - I've used badger and I've used boar with the Williams and I've whipped up some pretty good lather with both. Still not quite over the Skeeter-Be-Gone smell, but it's not a bad soap. I can use it. I guess. If I have to.
Merkur Vision/Super-Max Stainless/Simm's with TGN overstuffed Silver Tip/MWF/Clubman Special Reserve Another day, Another visionary shave delivered. Are you guys ready for some football. Let's go KickersRplayers2. I need some more soap. Have great shaves today Gentlemen.
Sunday: Omega Wooden Handle Super Speed/Personna day 2 Williams Menthol SC Keri unscented moisturizer Osage Rub AS Polo Original EDT I hope this shave I had today will be accepted as being part of Williams Week. I know it's a different kind of Williams, but it's still Williams! It's such a good cream - the scent is so nice, and the lather and the cooling effect are phenomenal. BTW, my wife loves the Polo on me - she says I smell classy and sexy!
Sunday: EJ89L Voskhod The Dridecker Speick Stick Dickenson's Witch Hazel Nivea Sensitive Balm Grey Flannel edt
Sunday morning, Gillette NEW Short Comb, Israeli Personna Crystal Blade (3) Simpson Duke 3 Best Badger Brush, Williams Mug Soap w/ hot water lather, finish w/ cold water rinse. DFS!
I woke up feeling better, finally, I still have Sunday. I had two goals; a long walk and a long shave. I wanted to hit a DFS. I took a nice shower, and I am very careful not to use any thing that will dry my face in the shower now. I then put a fresh Personna Platinum on to keep shaving with the blade I became so comfortable with. With my newly made face map, I better understood the hair on my neck and went at it. All three crosses, including a hybrid XTG on my neck+ touch up. And I achieved, something beyond DFS and not quite (but almost) at BBS. It was the best shave I ever gave myself and to think they only get better. You all are the best professors. And now, the equipment: Edwin Jagger DE 89 Personna Platinum Blade JM Fraser's Polar Ice with a steaming hot towel as a three minute pre shave 3 passes with Polar Ice eBarbershop Badger Brush eBarbershop Almond Shave Balm (which the black cherry soda I bought tasted just like, yuck) Clubman Original Scent Caswell Massey "Jockey Club" Talc The Doc wants me to rest until tomorrow...but I gotta show this shave off. I know, I will stand in the condo halls and let people feel my face-lol Thanx again, I dedicate my best shave ever to TSD.

Slim set to 9 with a Gillette Yellow (1 of my 2 "best" DE blades) Van Der Williams face lathered Handcrafted Bay Rum I tend to associate crappy shaves with DE, but every once in a while I return to DE with one of my best blades and realize it isn't DE that makes the shave lousy, it's the lousy blades I'm testing. Todays shave was really very good. The combo is easily on a par with my very best SE shaves (OCMM and a GEM SS ptfe blade). No new weepers (I have an area on the face that I keep slicing open - a continuing reminder of using the "disAstra" blade. Eventually it'll heal completely even so.) and an easy BBS. After this I had to go and dress, as best I could, 2 huge wounds on one of my hens. She's in solitary trying to heal. I'm actually surprised she lived through the night. She's eating and drinking, so given time (and lots more betadyne) she might pull through. Other chickens are not at all kind to a wounded member of the flock. But I blame this years new roosters for the wounds. They rape the hens when the dominant males back is turned, and they use their claws to facilitate it. Chicken skin is weak. I love chicken and eggs, but they are absolute savages toward each other.
Sunday, September 25, 2011 Prep: Hot shower, California Baby face wash, hand strop blade Lather: TSD Iced SubZero Wheat Cream Brush: Frank Shaving Fine Badger Razor: Gem OCMM Blade: Ted Pella SS PTFE (1), 2 passes Post: Alum Block, WH + M-Bomb, Aqua-Velva Ice Blue, hand strop blade First shave using all of my new TSD products. I just love the smell of the ISZ wheat cream & it made my face feel splendidly frosty. I need to practice lathering it up as I didn't get a great lather while face lathering. I'll whip up some test lathers in a bowl to find the sweet spot. The M-Bomb added to my witch hazel was "da Bomb"! My first use of the alum block makes me a fan. I really liked how my face felt afterwards. That can also be a result of the wheat cream too I presume. A few nicks & weepers that I attribute to my poor lather. I look forward to using these products for quite some time. Thanks JoAnna for these quality products.
Omega 11126 banded boar EJ DE89L ASR Personna blade, 5 (I think) pre-shave oil of own making C&E Sienna shave soap Alum block (couple of very small nicks - got too carried away) Nivea Cooling balm Royall Musk colonge Nice smooth shave today. Been a while since pulling out the Omega 11126, and I have to say it's performance isn't quite as good as the simpler and smaller Vie-Long Bombito that comes in at $10 cheaper. I'm surprised V-L isn't more well known, though I am seeing them pop up in SOS more and more.
Sunday Afternoon... Gem OCMM Gem Stainless PTFE Semogue 2000 Klar Kabinett Shave Soap Alum Superior 70 Bay Rum
