55’ Gillette Super Speed Red Tip
    Rapira (d2)
    Preshave Oil Blend
    Ever Ready Boar
    Col. Conk Amber SS
    Stephens Spicy
    Stephans Island Lime

Two great shaves in a row with the Rapira. This blade is a real player to make my starting lineup.

    Tuesday

    Prep: Hot shower, soak brush
Coffee: Home roasted, fresh ground Kenya Safari Ridge, BLACK
    Soap: TSD Florida Water Type
Brush: Vulfix 404, The Grosvenor badger/boar mix
    Razor: Sheraton
Blade: Voskhod, day 2, 3+ passes
Post: Cold water rinse, ice water splash, L'Oreal Comfort Max ASB, SJ Unforgivable, hand strop blade

    Shave Rating: 4 Blades

The Voskhod was smoother than yesterday, as I hoped it would be. But the Sheraton is just a tad mild; a little rough along the jaw line.

Pre-shave soap: Musgo Real Glyce Lime
    Razor: Merkur 23C
    Blade: Astra Superior Platinum
    Brush: Grosvenor LE Two Band
Soap or Cream: D.R. Harris Almond Soap
A/S: Dickinson's Witch Hazel, Alt Innsbruck Splash

This morning's shave reminded me of the old Campbell's Soup jingle--it was "Mmm, mmm, good"!

    Tuesday:

    Omega Wooden Handle
    Super Speed/7 AM day 5
    Egyptian Palmolive Menthol SC :Animatedfrozensmily::Animatedfrozensmily::Animatedfrozensmily::Animatedfrozensmily:
    Vifrex AS Gel :love029::love029::Animatedfrozensmily::Animatedfrozensmily:
    Azzaro Pour Homme EDT

This set-up would also have been perfect for a Menthol Monday Shave simply because it's so freezing cold. The Palmolive Menthol cream has a POWERFUL menthol effect and great lather and skincare, however the scent is quite unpleasant. It smells similar to the discontinued US Palmolive version, except for the menthol notes, which make the scent a bit more tolerable. The Vifrex gel smells terrific, and freezes the skin to the max! ;)

    Razor: Muhle R106
    Blade: Vikings Sword
    Brush: Penworks Finest 24mm
    Cream: MEM Olive
    ASB: Sea of Spa

Alright! The first shave with my pruducts form Israel. I wasn't too sure about the blade, as it looked kind of cheap, but did it ever deliver! With 2 days of growth there was a very little tugging feeling, and after the first pass, nothing but smooth sailing! I cannot believe how well the MEM shave cream works! It lathered up easily and the coolest part is it has a faint green tinge to it when lathered. The scent is great and it left my face feeling better than ever. The ASB was amazing too! It had a tingly feeling when I applied it, but soon stopped and needless to say after this shave my face feels brand new.

No shave today. :angry017: Back is too stiff to allow me to bend over long enough to shave this morning. Fortunately the OCMM gave me a close enough shave yesterday that I can still pass as acceptable today. This wreck is now interfering with my shaving. Do you think that qualifies for more pain & suffering compensation???

Due to it's blade length, you end up shaving with a portion of the blade like you do with a straight. Definitely need to slow down and pay attention while using the t handle broad sword which makes it more fun. High angle of attack is required as the blade is not warped at all, it's just sitting there. I can clear my neck on the upward pass in 4 strokes which is a hoot! I'd give the shave a +3 out of 5 for the 1st go-round. Should improve some by the end of the week.

    Razor: Merkur Futur
    Blade: Ladas
    Brush: Simpson Rover
    Pre-Shave: Musgo Real Glyce Lime
    Cream: Tabula Rasa Dark Lavender
    A/S: Floid Amber

The recent posts about Tabula Rasa inspired me to dig it out of the archives. It is a nice cream but not a favorite. Still though, I enjoyed a great shave followed by a refreshing splash of Floid Amber.

LOL. been shaving wet a few years. I just finally got the courage to use an SE. I channel my grandfather and go at it. And I am an AS addict

I think I have a good mix of blades but need a few more creams and soap.

But then I will need a barber, or lower mirrors. I live in a condo since divorce. In my house which was decorated with antiques, maybe I could have slipped one in the living room :signs089:not...but what a cool thought. I have seen them at antique shows.

    No shave today...:angry032:

Shaved after work yesterday and this am, my face felt smoother then after many of my first attempts. I wanna shave after work today, but I have to get on cycle.

So today I just used a little old spice and lived vicariously through my shaving buddies...all while shopping for a barber chair:signs131:

But tomorrow, it's back on the horse.
