Just remember one [person's] garbage is another [person's] treasure.

The day is going alright. Work is going by fast which is always a good thing and at home I am busy helping my wife prepare for a conference she has this weekend, AND I am planning the details out for her birthday party on Friday. Come to think of it she "claims" she doesn't have parties on her birthday because it is on Haloween...I think she just wants gifts earlier...:signs002: No, her birthday is always a gongshow if we try to do anything on the 31st...Things really do turn nightmarish...LOL! :shocked003:

And here I am again, hopefully on my way to becoming more active. I've just moved into my sisters house on Sunday, finally got everything I needed to get hooked up to the AWESOMELY FAST Wild Blue Satellite internet*. Found out my car will need a new engine......hopefully things will start looking up soon.

    Hang in there Nick!:)

Just noticed that Amazon's free app of the day states it is for the USA only! I am hoping to bypass that by doing things through email. Too bad my work wireless is locked. I doubt they'd give me the password to hook up my phone to it. I guess I'll find out if it works in 9 more hours when I'm actually at home! Other than that it is my daughters FIRST picture day!!

SNOW!!! About 8 Inches and still falling. I'm at work, it was forecast to be even more at my house. Did a lot of shoveling and feel like I could use a nap now.

I hope it isn't the nasty heavy wet snow, rather light and fluffy. We still haven't gotten any yet this year (knock on wood).

We are running a contest at work. I sent the email announcement out at 5pm yesterday.

Since then, I have received over 1,100 emails.

It got so bad I had to turn my phone off.

discovered a nice, open source document management program today.

Also, discovered a potential replacement for lifehacker.com: lifehack.org

    A) I'll have to check that out, and see how you like it

    B) I told you about lifehack.org way back when all the gawker sites crudination started :)

Hooked up the camper to make sure all the trailer lights etc work so I can replace the inevitable bad bulbs before our yearly halloween camping trip. Well, as predicted a bulb was bad. I replaced the bulb, and then no lights at all worked. I spent an hour or so fighting it and couldnt get anything to work. I can't decide what I am going to do about the trip. Finally, it is dark, rainy, and cold so I give up for the night. I disconnected my car and drove off to notice the check engine light on. )*&I&*@^(&#

After more wasted time troubleshooting I decide to just accept the obvious, the POS camper has tried to kill the tow vehicle. How can it do that? Electrical surge from the cruddy lights? Sure enough, I check the car's tail lights, running lights, etc.. and they aren't working either. Pull out the fuse panel and replace the blown fuse. All the lights in the car and now working, but the check engine light is still on. Grumble grumble grumble

Oh well... I won't be around much this weekend. I am either off camping and when I am not camping I am finishing up end of quarter lab and test grades or I will be under the car when I am not grading. Either way, blehh...

Well, I may just try to get a few hours of sleep before I have to get moving again.

BTW: I recall Jim mentioning that site as well...

To get rid of that check engine light, you might just disconnect the battery for a minute or 3 and see if that clears it up.

My wife's birthday party is tomorrow and her little sister was supposed to be comming over to help decorate. She told me that she has to babysit (some random kids I think) and won't be able to come...the only issue is she has all the decorations!

I have also come to the conclusion that my phone is faster than any computer I use! Scary...

Part of the fun owning a Chihuahua is seeing how much you can get away with before they snap and rip your face off....
