I'm not kidding...I'm jonesing for a Schick Repeater...I did have a dream where I was using a Repeater, and when I first racked in the 1st blade I had to fight the impulse to keep racking, because it was so cool...Then I proceeded to get a great shave... Thats so cool to load that sucker up and have everything so self-contained for at least a month worth of shaves. Deffinantly not neccesary but so cool and what a concept and design...My man Col.Schick is still ahead of his time

So tell me Tom...how do you compare the shaves you get from this jewel, with your other treasures ? Did the Schick shaves improve with the non-moving heads or did he have it perfect from Day1?​

This is a good question for you guys that have, had or have used both... Why did they ever change to the injector from the repeater? All who know me know I love my Injector...In fact its all I'm using these days...But I've never tried the Repeaters, so this question keeps floating to the surface... I know Col. Schick himself did design the Injector razor and dispensers years after the repeaters, so in some way he must have considered it an improvment? Or just easier to make? What do you guys think?​

I know you love them, and I love them, but Col. Schick actually went whole hog into electrics and abandoned this invention in 1928.

He got out before all the other modifications were made to the original razor in 1928.
BTW. Schick electric razors were absorbed into Phillips/Norelco and no longer exists as a brand name.

Lloyd, the B is actuall a bit milder than the E and G types, more like a J or an adjustable at 3 or 4. The head geometry is just completely different than the later ones.

Well I'm finished trying out my Gem SE style razor collection and found that I really enjoyed most of them.One thing that I found was that for only a few different styles everybody has a different opinion of which they prefer.So I figured I would do a short review of what I found worked for me.I used Gem SS blades in all razors and used each razor for 3-6 days depending on performance for me.I did try out Treet carbons but found that they lasted about 3 shaves and were only okay.Would like to thank all the members that answered my questions and offered advice.I will probably use incorrect names for the razors so bear with me.
G-bar : This was my first go at SE shaving and instantly feel in love with this razor.Just whacked the chin whiskers down.Cool looking,great handle.
Damaskeene: Nice looking razors, I wanted too like it but gave the worst performance of the lot,neck rash and nicks and stubble.I'll put this guy away and try again at a latter time.
EverReady 1924: What a great razor ,my favorite can whip around my face without any problem,Alum block after not even a tingle.
MM Clog proof: All the Micromatics are excellent razors and can't decide which is best so I won't.
MM Open Comb: I was a little nervous trying this one ,but no need show it respect and it will return a great shave.
MM Bullet tip: about the same as clog proof
Gem Junior,and all the 1912 style heads:I'll lump all these together as far as I could tell the heads were the same just handles were different:Now these guys I was frustrated with and only maybe used once or twice.Took alot of work ,four-five passes and just not for me.To be fair I won't review these at this time,just put them away and try at a latter time.
Feather light? :Nice and mild ,I won't bad mouth this one, just okay.
Pushbutton: Found loading the blade a pain so that put me off ,and the shave was below par.So this one probably won't make the rotation.I would try again thou.
Contour2 ?:I usually like longer handles.Didn't really like it, not going too use this one too mild had too use pressure to shave and you know what that led too.Only shaved with this guy a couple of times.And not cool looking like all others.
After trying all of these my rotation will include SE razors.

Told you Col. Schick's my man... He was even out of the cockpit, and he still piloted the Schick Razor into the next 50 years...and help write an Eagles tune in his spare time...LOL

It is too bad he gave up on the safety for the electric. However, when he sold the brand, it actually fell under a better capital structure with more money to back development. That is why we had these great injectors in the 1940s-1970s. I wish I had started with an injector or a double edge, but we all fell under the sway of the Trac II which to me is the next best thing to the injector since really it is the direct descendant of the injector. The other cartridges are truly a different design from the Atra (which I like) to the others which I don't like.
