So, 4 minutes before launch, I turn on the TV to watch Curiosity launch on the Nasa Channel. Umm... where is Nasa TV. Crud... Great, DirecTv has dropped Nasa TV off of their non HD line up.

Thankfully I was able to quickly download the Nasa TV app so we could watch the launch on a tablet. Daughter is happy, although she noted that "Curiosity killed the "KAT"". Her initials are KAT and we had her name added to a chip that is on Curiousity. OH well...; glad we didn't jinx the launch. She is all flappy happy at the moment, but is back to playing with her legos.

 

Got man flu at the moment so not feeling too good, 3rd day in home (only went out to post office this morning to send secret santa gift) I bought and old singer sewing machine (1940's) on ebay last month £5.00 sold as not working, spent 90mins working on it today got it going so im quite happy.
Just working out what tonights shave set-up will be

 

Watching Transformers 3 for the first time. I'm entirely underwhelmed. The whole Orange-Blue color scheme is ridiculous, the story is fairly predictable with ridiculous amounts of exposition interspersed with hard-to-follow action sequences, and the foreshadowing? Sheez, I saw that "twist" coming a mile back.

I don't know, I've been in a funk this week, and that's probably tainting my opinion.

Today our Church Team went to our local Mission. At the end each month a team of us fixes dinner for the Mission. Today we cooked and served Spaghetti and Meatballs, corn, rolls. One our team members bakes cakes.

Another church came did the service. Their youth group put together Christmas sacks for the families and it included a small toy for the children.

I always leave very blessed to serve others.

 

I am glad that we did not participate in this madness. Why is it that this time of year brings the very worse out in people.

 

Because they (or their children) follow the mass marketing siren song like lemmings! Sad indeed!

 

So who knew the new Muppet movie was an Amy Adams movie. I certainly didn't. It made a good movie even better. Mahna mahna

*but has no excuse as to why I haven't watched it yet*

The device so nice I bought it twice.

Well, I broke down and ordered another Nova. Best Buy has them going for 30 bucks less than what I paid for the first one, and when I compared it for what ordering a used one on ebay for, it turns out that I'd rather just spend the extra $10 and get a brand new one. I'm still going to fill out the warranty replacement form and send it off--on the off chance that they'll waive the "damaged screen" clause and replace my first one. I figure, worst case scenario, I'm out the price of a stamp.

I compared the Nova to the slightly more expensive Kindle Fire, and I decided I want to stick with the Nova. I've already got a case for it, and I was happy with its performance. Now I'm just waiting on Best Buy to send me an e-mail to say it's okay for me to pick it up in store tonight.

I just noticed that my tapatalk signature shows now on this site! I think there are going to be some confused people when they read it...:s It only showed up on the ATRIX forum where I am a member. So I will say that RedPill is the custom rom I am using....and I am excited for the CM7 RedPill hybrid that should be coming out tomorrow!!!!!
