Sorry, but I won't be using the Interception until Tuesday. I'm still in Cream Week mode, and I always use a cream on Mondays. I'll be posting in SOS to be sure. Look for my thoughts there.
No. You just have to go to TSD's Zazzle store to buy those. You can also customize most of those products, for example; with your username.
Ok...so today I wemt in an antique store with my mom to pick up a table for her house we just moved her into......then out of the corner of my eye I caught a glimpse of something that resembled a saftey razor handle......I walked over and low and behold....it was a handle but not for a safety razor.....sitting next to this weird little handle was a silver box.....lined with a stone and a strop.....yep....I picked me up a rolls razor for 5 bonez!!! Its got some good rust on it but with a bit of tlc I think I can get it lookin pretty decent.....always wanted one.....and he had 15 on it but I talked em down to 5...im so stoked to use this thing!!! And a big thanks to Jeff who sent me another straight.....illpost pics soon! It was a great shaver jeff thank you so much!!!! Not a nick one!!!
The mail has been good to me this week. I got a Gillette Goodwill Box today. Now you may say what is the big deal about a box. Well these were not suppose to last this long in this good of shape. I had the razor, but no box. Now it is complete. Here is the box alone. Here is the box and razor.
One of our favorite antique malls participated in small business Saturday, so my wife and I had to check it out. I was awed by the amount of straight razors offered, and most of them were in excellent condition. I just have too much stuff so had to limit myself to two razors. Leaving the mint condition Puma behind was heartbreaking. I made up for it by getting two Duble Ducks and some fine brushes which will be shipped to Rudy for some new knots. If anybody is interested in the details of this antique mall, where I left at least 20 razors behind, PM me. It's in the Chicago area-north of Chicago. The black one has Cmon scales-is that legal? It's a Satinedge. The other is a Wonderedge. Both are in fine fine condition.
Another nice pick up. Schick G5: Turquoise handle Package: Brown and cream cardboard box. I know that everyone likes the butterscotch handles, but my favorite is the turquoise! Now I have one!
Look what I found on the way home from supper. My wife and I went out to eat, and I stopped off to buy cigarettes, and my friend had these creams for me. They come from Bangladesh! 2x Ice Cool sc tubes 2x Kool Monsoon sc tubes 2x Kool Frosty sc tubes 2x Tibet Forest Fresh sc tubes
Here is an unusual specimen from the German razor company that was eventually subsumed by Gillette. They were famous for subtle designs and high quality finishes -- more like the BMW than the early Volkswagen. And here's a beauty with a red leather case -- in such great shape -- especially compared to that unfortunate red case Gillette made and sold with the #58 set. As you can see -- it's a 2-piece razor and the blade exposure is pretty decent. You can use some pressure with this razor due to the light weight. But it will take some really good luck to find another. But if you do own one of these sets, please post some photos and any information you may have about this great little Rotbart. And one other thing to consider is that Gillette, who purchased the Rotbart company in the late 1940s, totally copied this design with one of their own, as show on Mr. Razor's website.
Wish I knew that - I have a turq. handle around here somewhere that I don't need, and the head too, probably. Lemme know if you wanna spare.
Amazing stuff folks. I'm now looking for some antique bottles for the den. This weeks haul was the best yet. My first ever PIF from Johnny. Proraso Green SC and Pre/Post Shave. They delivered a shave and a half today and I can't wait tomorrow. Johnny also helped me to pull the trigger on MWF. Thanx Johnny!
Minor finds today, but for $4 altogether, not bad. Three wee bottles of Polo, a Brut mini-splash, some good ol' King's Men (I have a giant thing of the talc but never smelled the a/s before...interesting stuff), and this Neve a/s from China. The resale shop I went to has had at least a dozen each of this Original, Musk and Spice for a couple years now...they're really not bad -- unusual, but not bad -- and not as weak as you might expect. None of them smell like anything I've seen at Dollar General or anywhere else but my nose is sometimes fooled. Anybody else run across this stuff before?
