The last time I used this razor the results were "OK" but today they were excellent. Not sure if it was the prep (good this time or bad last time) or the strop but it felt a much better edge today.

My Latest Shave Ever, Menthol Monday

One of my Beardies was sick and we spent a lot of time at the animal hospital, bloods, labs, u name it (she is resting now) see below:



My Mom stayed with her while I worked 12-9, moving back my medicare appointments and getting my day completed. I asked Mom to stay a few moments longer so I could shower and shave. The shave breathed fresh air into me, Madison is doing better, and did I mention I feel like a new man.

I had decided on using my Gold Plated Diplomat in the spirit of using a Gold razor as Steve had originally had planned for this week, and then following the little tweak that he made about using items that one considered their Gold Standards in shaving helped to choose everything else.

Of course today being my favorite shave day of the week, choosing my Gold Standard in Menthol Monday products was extremely easy, TSD Iced SubZero and M~Bomb! :biggrin:

The Gold Aristocrat, always in Gold taste, the Gold blade case beautiful, the gold colored Skin Bracer, nice touch, and even your brush handle seems to have gold flecks in it...But your choice of music was exemplary....Bravo!!

DFS the bk12 is a lather hog!!! I used more cream than usual but sorta drank the scuttle dry even when I added more water, It held enough lather for 3 passes (each day for the next 2 weeks)
But it did feel so soft and luxurious great coverage as its gold week next shave will have the kent soap (I was tempted to try thr secret santa proraso)

Kinfe, Klotzli Swiss custom knife maker, made a limited run for Spyderco back in the 1990s, the most expensive and sought after Spyderco there is, the Blade is ATS 34, steel the pivot screws and liner lock all made from titanium then blue anodized, the scales are made from the same carbon fibre found on the Sauber Formular 1 car at the time, this knife is part of my collection, it's mint never used sharpened or carried.

The shave was excellent two pass shave really enjoyable, the Cedre L'Atlas is a super scent, it's difficult to find fault with most of L'Occitane products.

A three pass BBS shave. A most excellent shave for an early morning start. This has been such a good combonitation of soap, razor, and blade that I have been holding onto it. I had to trim up the mustache, and have a close shave this morning for a respirator fit test later today. I'm so smooth its like I am 16 again.

Beyond the obvious theme reference this piece of music is amazing.
Shirley Bassey really belts this one out and it is my favorite James Bond soundtrack.
Very orchestrated but definitely has a Jazz feel to it.
