Result: I hadn't used my slant in a while, so it seemed time. The Rapira SS blade worked well in it (they're sort of a budget feather). It was pretty smooth and quick, and was ccs to dfs after 3 easy passes.

A very smooth and comfortable shave with tried and true products. Speick offers the added bonus of a distinctive and pleasant scent that helps to get me going in the morning. The Speick cream is a must-have in my rotation--I like the stick, too, but don't use it as often.

Sorry for not showing pictures today - I had a fabulous shave this morning with this wonderful soap that I think may be my favorite of all soaps. I definitely owe it to myself to use it more often. The Wild Rain aftershave was discontinued some time ago, but I found a bottle of it in a convenience store last night. This stuff smells great, and leaves my skin feeling soothed.

Wow what a difference the Barber's Hone made to my blade. One of the closest shaves I've ever had, completely DFS bordering on BBS with the smallest amount of stubble. I was worried that I would mess up my blade and have to send it off but this was a confidence booster for sure. 4.5 out of 5 stars.

It was a decent shave. Haven't used the Valet in quite some time so I got a few cuts here and there...but they also showed up strictly because I think my blade was feeling especially samurai this morning! All in all it resulted in a DFS+.

I think I have now used my Semogue LE boar brush for 5 consecutive shaves and I just cannot seem to put it down. Teamed with the MWF, I am rewarded with a copious amount of rich creamy lather. The iKon OSS and Gillette Super Thin blade resulted in an excellent shave. I finished off my bottle of Mr. Taylor aftershave and am ready and raring to go.

shaved before going out to dinner last nite and am on like 35 days straight. So I gave the face a coat of EBC Almond Balm and gave the den a day off. I miss it.

 

Sunday's Shower and Shave

Prep; a long hot shower, Parker Badger soaking Soap; Benton Clay Razor; Gillette Gold Tech Blade;Persona Red Post; Warm water rinse, polar water splash, Thayer's Witch Hazel, Colonia Agua DeRuda Results; Three passes I had a very nice DFS.

Eclipse "Red Ring" + Shark, New Forest 2201, Truefitt&Hill Grafton SC, Alun, Loewe pour Homme



Almost a 'british empire' shaving, but I can't finish with Grafton EdT, maybe this Christmas ... But the Loewe pour Homme EdT is like a mediterranean version of Grafton, classy, masculine, ... and fresher than the T&H scent, with the acid start of lemon zest & bergamot.
