good to know... with the full moon and all you might have been in trouble. BTW: for those on the west coast, there will be a lunar eclipse in the early AM. Those of us in Midwest, the moon will set before the eclipse is over and East coasters are getting left out almost completely on this one.
Congrats Micah My brother did several covers and this is a really big deal. Thanks for letting us know and for the picture of the cover. Doug
Playing around on my tablet and discovered a great newsreader app. Have you guys tried out the Pulse reader?
Had the New York Times on my Kindle for a while. bit of a pain in the A**,,, found myself accessing it on the laptop and desktop more often
Made some super easy 3 ingredient bread tonight. It's really good. 1 can ginger ale (or beer) 2 T sugar, and 3 cups self rising flour for 45 min at 375 makes one loaf. Mmmm mmmm
If you don't mind smelling like peanut butter for two or three days, peanut butter is darn good shaving cream. - Barry Goldwater
Spent last night helping the SIL as an impromptu gesture. Up early this morning for a long day of work. "Weekend"
mine too; unfortunately, the gottageteverythingIknowandcanthinkofforthenextguy_braindump process has priority this week
Maybe she was hanging out with Slot-Machine Santa.... Okay, in other news...on the one hand, I'm soon going to be assigned a Macbook Pro (still not sure how I feel about that...hopefully I can get Parallels and Win7 on there, too), and an Ipad when I start at my new job - well, same job, different district. However, I'd still like an Android tablet. Really wanted to grab a couple of HP Touchpads, but as Micah pointed out, I'm cursed with that condition where HP only has the firesales 5 days before payday. How could I possibly justify having two tablets at my use, when I'll hardly have time to use the one. Not really wise idea to let the kids use the ipad, being not my property and all. Most of the apps I would use have a web-based interface/sync, so stuff like Evernote and the like will not care what I'm using to access it, but still....maybe I could be the Android guy for the district? In other-other news, the tree is completed, and the house lights are up, just gotta get the yard decorations in place. Talking with my BIL, hopefully before next Christmas I'll have a sub-panel installed off the breaker box for only the outside lights, I really don't like running multiple power bricks/strips off of other strips, especially with that much electricity flowing throwing them, but I only have two outside outlets (and one is on the back of the house where it does notta mucha gooda), and the security lights on the end of the house with plug adapters in them (nervous about that as well). On the plus side, I only run them a couple hours a day, if that. On the other side, it only takes a moment to start a fire. I plan to have a sub-panel, and place several outlets under the eaves in the soffit (I like that word) for this purpose. Another plus, I'll put one on the side near the pool to run the filter and salt water pumps, so I won't have a long cord running there. But until then...*fingers crossed* In other-other-other news, haven't shaved since Thursday...not that it's very easy to tell, since I'm only shaving my neck at the moment, but it's itchy itchy. I need a new MP3 player, I guess. My Zune died a few months ago, so I've been using my trusty Sansa E280...but now it's starting to get glitchy. It's older than the Zune, and flash storage, but I figured it'd die before the Zune. I'd really like to replace the Zune, it's great hardware and a great player, but I hate investing full price in an abandoned technology (stupid microsoft - "Hey, we have a great device! Let's make the very first one doo-doo brown, and never really market it! Then we'll abandon it, leaving the brave adopters, who know what a great device it is, with nothing to look forward to!") Kinda interested in the Samsung Android-based MP3 players, but honestly playing music from Android, while not bad or entirely difficult, isn't too great, either. At least not for grabbing the device, changing songs or finding a specific one, while driving. I like the Sansa Clip for a small, workout/yardwork/etc type player, but not necessarily for keeping all my music with me (I miss my Zune). I guess since I'm about to forced into the I-walled_garden, and the deplorable piece of appware known as itunes, I may end up with an...an...I can't say it. But I can say "Rockbox" Uggh, enough stalling...time to focus
No, and I am addicted to Klondike bars; buy them when Publix runs their buy one/get one free sale and throw them in the freezer.
