Well Brian as far as I know Feather do two shavers with wood handles, there's offer on one from shaving.ie at the moment and here's the link to the other one.

Aaaah..... the RG version . I thought you were talking abut a new SS. I had looked at those, but the geometry is different and I fear they might be a 'little too aggressive for me.

You may be right about the geometry, but I cannot see there being much difference myself, but you never know, it would be nice if Feather offered spare scales in various materials and colours so we could chop and change when we feel like. PS by the way whats the Kai Captain Excelia Razor like, and where did you pick that up.

    Regards Jamie.

    JHL Cologne

As I've said before, a better name for this Palmolive Cool cream would be Palmolive Frigid, because it really is frigid. I finally finished off this tube, but I have another one in reserve. The 7 AM blade gave me a great shave, but it struggled a little bit today, so I'll replace it. ;) :D

Pre-shave soap: Musgo Real Glyce Lime
    Razor: Merkur 23C
    Blade: Voskhod Teflon
    Brush: Simpson Colonel X2L Best
    Soap or Cream: Tabac Soap
A/S: Dickinson's Witch Hazel, Tabac Splash

Ahh...Tabac--it never disappoints me. It took a little while to get used to the scent when I first started using Tabac, but it has grown on me and the soap has become one of my favorites. I consider it a classic and I hope they don't start messing with the formula.

    Bigelow Parkin, day 4
    Bigelow Parkin folding travel razor
    Gillette Super Thin Blade
    Godrej Shaving Round
    Omega Professional Boar brush
That ends the Bigelow Parkin experiment; back to an injector tomorrow. Another shave on the lower end of acceptable, mostly quite close, but never did quite as good a job on my neck as I'm used to. With only a few shaves in, it's an open question how much of this is technique, and how much is the razor. I definitely feel I'm getting the hang of controlling it, but perhaps a little more work would help. It does seem to be a pretty mild shaver, though. I didn't get any irritation or nicks, even with multiple passes..
Anyway, I'll have some more to write, and some more pictures, but not immediately. It's been interesting.

    DFS this morning.
Broke out the PRORASO white And it felt very nice. It's a shame tho, it just doesn't bowl lather like the RazoRock. But still nice to face lather.

I bowl/scuttle lather with my Proraso Green Tub all the time and it make a GREAT lather. Watch for my post tomorrow in this section as I will use the Proraso Green.
