I need a good attache case. Something leather and fairly conservative. I'm thinking of something soft, and 4"-6" wide when expanded with the handles that recess up and down. I'd like something of really good quality and will pay for that, but I'd rather not pay for a "name". Any advice? Thanks. :D

Quick Question: Would you prefer that it did, or did not accommodate a laptop?

    Did not.

I'm thinking of something you would use to carry a pad/portfolio kind of thing and mybe a few files into a business meeting. No computer.

I have always been very impressed with the quality of products from Levenger.........including and especially their leather products. I have quite a few things from them. Their customer service has also always been excellent.

That having been said, you might check this out

It doesn't have handles that "recess", but the handle is very unobtrusive, and the shoulder strap can be removed. Available in two "colors" of leather. Its not made FOR laptops, but it can fit them.

If you wanted a bag made for laptops, I had another idea for you.~

I've got 2 Zero Halliburtons; one for my laptop and one for everyday use. Very well made, very nice leather. IMHO.

What's your idea for a bag for laptops? I need a new one, and have been thinking about getting a messenger bag. Thoughts?

Sup mang. :: For the laptop, I am still recommending a Levenger, just different model (they are top notch!):

I had no idea Zero Halliburton made leather cases. Mine are the standard aluminum.

I don't know yet. This is something I'll have to handle before I decide. I have to go shopping at some point :)mad:), but have been too busy lately. We'll see!

Well, we hit Woodbury on Saturday. There were a lot of great cases. I ended up getting a really nice soft leather case from Longchamps. It will serve my purposes very well. Thanks for all the input!
