I have the same disease. I've just learned to accept and embrace my menthol habit. Yes menthol in the winter is like Vodka for breakfast, but in the
words of the great philosopher, Popeye, "I am what IYam. " Still grateful to you for the Russian cream/balms. I still have some left and Tet-a-Tet has
become a favorite.

 

Couldn't agree with you more! The HFT and my MMOC see almost all of the face-time.

Overall a decent shave, with a small amount of tugging at first due to the overgrown stubble It netted me what I would call an SAS. Not the closest shave ever, but absolutely zero irritation.

I am so happy you enjoy menthol, Dmitry. There are so many nice creams and soaps which contain it, but there are not always easy to find. However, many Russian creams are mentholated, so you can pick any one of them like Everest, Tet-a-tet, Nord-ost, or the Phyto Expert creams, or even the Viking creams. I will still make sure that you always have a supply of Gada Cool Mint to keep you going.

 

Ahhhhhhhh, I am so happy you enjoyed that stuff, Phil. I plan to shave with it for Wednesday. There is another version of Kool called "Frosty" which is well-named. I hope to get it again so I can send it to you.

Merkur 37 C Slant-the newest member of the family and quickly becoming a fan favorite
TSD ISZ Milk-smooths out the shave and enhances it
Pinaud Lime Sec-another recent discovery that I really like.

That Tet-a-tet round was really nice! I think to repeat the experience next year somehow. I found myself using mentholated splash in about 80% of all my shaves, regardless if I shave tonight or in the morning time. Many of my shaves are 'cooling', with products like Tet-a-tet or Valobra Menthol soap. But for Menthol Monday I use Gada Cool Mint SC, as it has much better freezing effect. I'm planing to break in the M-bomb and TSD ISZ soap when this New Year comes. Happy New Year!

 

You're absolutely right, Jeff! Now I use Tet-a-tet, as I like it very much, besides, I have a nice tube of Viking hidden in my shoebox and waiting for the order. Many Russian creams has less menthol then, let's say, Gada, so I count only 2 products to be good enough for Menthol Monday - Gada Cool Mint with it's frosty kick and Valobra Mentol, as it is just an exception of all my collection. Some new items will be added to rotation when New Year comes, among with ISZ amd Mbomb, so I'm looking forward for many and many frosty shaves! Besides, I already found a mentholated splash, and is search for other new freezing splashes.

Haven't used the Feather AC - SS for a little while, it still delivered a super shave, two pass shave with minor touch up.

As you can see i have posted an after pic of the brush, it performed very well, there was a certaian level of scritch Due to it being pure badger and not silver tip, but there is only one way to break it in, It lathered very well, the handle is nice and bulky, not too floppy considering the loft 63mm with a 26mm knott.
BBS shave today, a little bit of blood (I had a couple of spots) nothing the alum block couldn't sort out, I shouldnt use the R-41 when i have spots, but I wanted use it Dohhh

Although the 7 AM blade is pretty well at the end, it still gave me a super-smooth shave without so much effort. The Kool Monsoon cream which is made in Bangladesh, has a lovely lemony/tropical scent which matches very well with the Booster Iced Lime aftershave as well as a nice menthol sensation. Whenever I wear the JHL cologne, I get a lot of compliments!
