Grab Bag 2011 - Round THREE

Yes, thanks for the updates. I'm guessing it was the bottles I put in. I had wrapped them in bubble wrap and put them in a baggie , but that will only do so much.

 

Getting excited that my turn is coming up soon.

I know I missed out on this one, but how soon into 2012 do you anticipate starting another box?

 

Sorry I just saw this. The 3 bars of soap are different soaps from thesoapguy.com. (1 oatmeal and 2 lemongrass something or other)

 

OK, I was guessing that was what variety the soaps were. I grabbed the oatmeal one. The scents are off at the moment because of the leakage. The 2 lemongrass bars are still in the box. Its good to know where they come from.

 

ahem....I must confess that the scent may not be off due to leakage. I really liked the oatmeal, but the lemongrass was not my cup of tea. Or anyones for that matter. I was hoping that like the veg, there would be someone out there that liked it.

 

I was able to pick up some things while in Atlanta this weekend that I can't find at home in Nashville. The price was so good that I picked up a couple extra items to put in the Bawx!

BAWXXXX UPDATE.......Still in Houston on Dec. 17 th according to the tracking? The Tracking also indicates expected delivery on Dec. 15 th which was three days ago? Must be a big crush with the USPS which is understandable.

 

I have sent things priority mail and have them sit in Tampa for three days, then mysteriously appear 1000 miles away the next day. Weird.

Mail is goofy this time of year. I'm still waiting on a Priority Mail package sent from Montana on the 10th that was supposed to be here on the 12th. It's the 20th now. Tracking shows it's still floating around in Montana somewhere. Christmas mail always bogs down the system.

 

And then, there is my package that has been on the way from Australia for quite some time.......slow boat?

Looks like the box finally mad it to SC. Scheduled to deliver today

 

Surprise, Surprise, I finally contacted the USPS and had them follow up on the Box and hang-up in Houston. The USPS customer service lady said she has no idea but would place a complaint and call me back in two days. No one ever called but the Box arrived Saturday night and I opened it yesterday. The box is in pretty bad condition so I will repack everything after picking up a new Box at the USPS later today. I am pulling out an old lady's Curvex that my daughter wanted to try and will look for blades to fit. I tried cutting a Voskhod in half but it seems not to work properly as it slides at an angle when I clamp it down.

 

sorry to hear that the box was banged up again. This just isn't pretty...

Instead of "Go Bawx, Go" I think a "Arrive Bawx, Arrive" would be more appropriate!
