    Friday, January 13, 2012 - Cream Annihilation
    1. Prep: Hot shower; Yardley bath bar; hand strop blade
    2. Coffee: Locally roasted, fresh ground Costa Rican w/ cream
    3. Lather: Speick cream (5 shaves in a row) - face lather
    4. Brush: Vie-Long 13061 "Zurito"
    5. Razor: Gem OCMM
    6. Blade: Pella SS PTFE coated (7); 2 passes
    7. Post: Cold water rinse; Kiehl's Balm
The VL brush is still breaking in. It feels a little less prickly with each shave. Got my slickest surface from the Speick today and it resulted in an extremely enjoyable shave and super smooth result.

Shave Rating - Splendid! God Bless!

I love the Speick Cream. Buy yourself a Speick Stick, grate it and compress it in to a container. Makes a great soap.

Get yourself one of these little toothpaste tube things, you would be surprised how much more you can get out of that tube.

Thats a good idea Johnny, I believe it.

    Pre: Hot Shower
    Razor: Merkur 23c
    Blade: Voskhod (2)
    Soap: Proraso White
    Brush: Omega Boar
Post: Thayers WH, Cold Rinse, Proraso ASB

Took a couple days off because of some residual irritation, so I could really see what this new blade was all about, and boy was I pleasantly surprised. Took my time, and got a nice DFS with Zero irritation or burn. I always have a bit of trouble in the same spots under my jawline and on my chin that prevent it from being BBS, but oh well, it was an excellent shave.

    Have a good day!

I've got one of those metal keys for tubes like that and it actually causes cracks in the tube for me and then I start losing cream around the key. I'm pretty good about squeezing the cream up from the bottom. This is just another reason I'm liking soaps more.

And don't get me wrong, I love the cream too. That's why I'm working my way through it. If I didn't like it, I'd send it off to a loving home. The point of the annihilation project isn't to get rid of stuff you don't like by forcing yourself to shave with it (if you don't like it PIF it), it's about getting through the stuff you already have and really enjoy.

Then this would be a good reason for you to grate a Speick stick. Make the same great lather as the cream.

The Speick stick is very high on my list of soaps to get.... after I get through some of my current stockpile. Maybe in a year or so. ;)

If you can lather Williams proficiently, then you're going to be blown away at how easy Cella is. The scent is the only wildcard. Some love it, others hate it. I fall in the love it category!

Well, today marked my second week of wet-shaving. Got a blade sampler pack and finally got the lathering thing down, and am sporting a BBS face today. :)

    Razor: Wilkinson Sticky
    Blade: Polsilver
    Brush: Semogue LE Boar
    Pre-Shave: Musgo Real Glyce Lime
Soap: Czech & Speake No. 88
    A/S: Taylor Sandalwood Gel

The Semogue LE boar brush really released the potential of the Czech and Speake soap. I enjoyed an excellent lather with an intoxicating scent and enjoyed a great shave. A dab of TOBS sandalwood gel and I am on my way.

Night shift is super hard as we aren't nocturnal like some other species. Hope it's your last one for awhile!

I usually leave my post night duty shave until after I have had a sleep. I can then take things slowly 'cause' " I am worth it" :D
