    Proraso Pre Shave
    Feather Artist Club SS
    Omega 10029 brush
    Vitos Green Soap
Alum Block followed by Proraso ASB
    Italian Floid Original AS.

One of my colleagues at work has just hit 60 so we are going out celebrating tonight. As we are going to an Italian restaurant....I decided to go with an Italian theme. I have a busy weekend ahead of me so I had to take some leave and have had time for a long relaxing shave, with a BBS result .:happy005:

    Friday

    Dovo Bismarck 6/8; Merkur Futur
    Shark (4?)
    Men-u Boar brush
    TSD Irish Spring type soap
    Booster June Clover A/S
    Master Topaz A/S

I was tired this morning and I had trouble shaving my neck area so I turned to the trusty Futur to finish the job. I used the Booster June Clover (from a sample) in place of witch hazel and the Master Topaz for the finish because the Booster scents just don't last for me. Good start for my Friday!

    Slanted Shave # 20

Today marks the end of numbering the slanted shaves. Slanty is my buddy and will be my #1 son. I sold my Jagger and the ex took a no name mild so another Merkur, an 11 C open comb will be the recovery/day shave following a night shave razor. Slanty's brother will be named O.C Wein.

No am meeting today, so I took a very leisurely shave. I also now fully believe that for me, the Gillette Blacks are good for 4 shaves, vs 5 for the Blue (sometimes 6) and Yellow (5). But who cares, it is the perfect blade for Slanty.

The new Omega 80005 is breaking in nicely, smells like MWF, the best soap for a new brush.

    The Kit

    EBC Preshave
    Omega 80005
    MWF
    Gillette 7 o'clock Black (5 and retired)
    Merkur 37 C Slant
    Witch Hazel
    TSD Bourbon Vanilla
    Aqua Velva Ice Sport

The shave says it all. As long as my senior customers are still pinching my face, I know my kit is taking good care of me :)

Beautiful shave, felt very moisturized while I was out in the blizzard for the day as well. Still pissed the army hasn't dropped my package off from Italian Barber, I really wanted to try slanty and the menthol over the weekend :(

A shave that want beyond the realms of DFS.

Yesterday I borrowed a cereal bowl from the cupboard, (it is now part of my shave den) . I was impressed the quality of lather I had lathering in the bowl. I thought may be it was fluke , eurkea it is not a fluke today's lather was even greater. The greater the lather quality is the better the shave.

Classic wet shaving is such a joy and fun. It is funny how a simple inexpensive change can turn the shaving experience up a notch. Proving that classic wet shaving does not need a great outlay of money to make the shaving experience awesome.

    Friday the 13th! :scared003:

Brush: Proraso branded Omega Pro boar (pictured in avatar)
    Razor: 1950's Gillette Super Speed
    Blade: Tiger Superior Stainless, 1
    Soap: Williams Mug
Toner: Alum/Thayer's Rose Petal witch hazel
Finish: Small amount of organic jojoba oil and a generous splash of M&L Florida Water

Don't know what I think of the jojoba oil on the face just yet, but we'll see. Seems OK as a body moisturizer. Finally tried this Tiger blade from Czech Republic. Nice. I won't say it's blowing my mind, but it was kind to my skin while giving the whiskers a run for their money. I did get a little irritation here and there, nothing major and nothing noticeable to the eye, but I figure that's got more to do with the fact I haven't used my SS in quite a while.

    Happy Shaving! :shaver
