That would be the perfect shave for me if that were a green tub of Proraso. :)

Tuesday 16 January, which I renaming Menthol Tuesday.

Greetings from a Holiday Inn in Nevada south of Reno
Had an awful flight out, I reached the airport at 0730 AM for a 10AM flight, whe boarded and went out to the runway where we sat for 40 minutes before they mention they have had an engine failure and we are going back to the gate. About an hour after that they cancel the flight and rebook on 16:30 PM flight. That flight is full, but instead of taking 5.5 hours to get there it takes them 6.5 hours, I make my connection to reno with 2 minutes to spare on the final boarding call. Now I have to say this, my luggage actually made the connection with me.
By the time I got to the hotel it was 3AM EST or midnight pacific time. I went across the street for two beers then crashed. Man I hate flying.

So here is my Menthol Tuesday
    Proraso preshave balm
    Godrej Menthol mist
    Omega travel boar, face lather
Gillette Slim (set to 5), with Rapira (D2)
Alcolado Glacial and Nivea sensitive ASB

I just needed a wake up today so I went for the Menthol mist, and I'm glad I packed it. This was a three pass DFS, I like the smell of the menthol mist, and it was nice and chilly. I think something has changed on my Slim. The shave on Saturday was awful and very agressive set on 7, so this time I backed it down to 5. It did a nice job, but it still seemed more aggresive than it used to for a similar number setting. I'm gonna have to give this a good cleaning and inspection when I get back home and see if anything is damaged. Its actually kind of nice now that I now its a bit more agressive.

I hope you all have a nice day. A couple of cups of coffee and I will feel human again.
Did I mention I hate flying?

I don't fly unless it is 100% necessary. I much prefer to drive, take the bus or train. I know you don't have that option when traveling for work.

The Dridecker is the Shea Moisture Shave Brush you can get at Target. Bill introduced the forum to them in the Spring of 2010.

Well, if you are in Nevada, you need to roll the dice and do a little gambling at one of the fine establishments.

Ah...I LOVE the Pigpen era Dead (even though I was born in 1970)!!

I discovered the Dead in 1985--thanks to my late cousin who was 20 years older than I, and some of his friends who lived in SF in 1967. Thankfully I got to see them live in 1991 while they were still pretty good (some of the stuff they were doing in last few years of Jerry's life doesn't move me as much as the earlier stuff).

    Omega Boar brush

Very nice, near BBS, Tuesday morning shave! The 5/8 is a nice change of pace razor from the 6/8s I prefer and use most of the time.

Waiting to see if my 11C arrives today and will take a late shave. I couldn't believe how smooth I was at 6:30am after a BBS shave yesterday. Slanty strikes again

    1. Prep: Hot shower; Yardley bath bar
    2. Coffee: Locally roasted, fresh ground TN Blend w/ cream
    3. Lather: Speick cream - face lather
    4. Brush: Vulfix 2234 Super
    5. Razor: Merkur Classic (33C) & Rivolia OC
    6. Blade: Feather (1); 3 passes
    7. Post: Cold water rinse; Aqua Velva + Kiehl's Balm
A Feather shave-off has begun. I shaved the left side of my face with the Merkur and the right side with the Rivolia. I'll be giving a more detailed report in a dedicated thread, but the Feather has definitely provided the best shaves I've had from these razors, but improvement is still needed.

Shave Rating - Fair, but meh. God Bless!

Danny nice setup! Especially the TSD Milk.

That La Toja stick looks about the same size in diameter as the arko stick. Am I right?
