It's something in the air. I was there yesterday, and I'm kind of there again, today. No real reason for it, just kind of melancholy.

 

Huh... I only had to reset my older version of the clip once or twice over multiple years and that was due to a rhapsody error.
my wife is thinking about getting a fire but is annoyed that the cafe scribe app is not on the amazon marketplace due to being a competitor source of ebooks for college courses. I wonder if drop boxing the sbk would work...

 

I very nearly called in sick today to take a "mental health" day...

I made the wrong choice.

 

So tired. Had to help set up 3 different detachments since I'm one of the few here qualified for Winter Warfare. Apparently setting up a ****ing tent is high tech...and since no one could take simple directions I ended up doing it myself each time and having them watch me. Don't know if it sunk in, but tomorrow my give a **** button will be broken LOL.

 

might work. If I recall correctly, I actually had to use the browser to go to the dropbox site and install it that way, but the rest of the time I would just download the apk files to DB from my laptop, and run them that way.
It's worth a shot, I installed Firefox and Opera that way, tried the weight watchers app, but it would never install. Wish I could convince her to try MyFitnessPal with me, it will install on the fire from the Amazon app store, but then I'm still only trying it out, trying to decide between MFP, Fatsecret's Calorie Counter, and Spark People, they're all cross platform with android and ios, but I don't know which I like better yet. I want to like Noom, it's been running on my phone, has all kinds of features, but no ipad version.

Anyway, Clip Zip is still giving me problems. Formatted the device, only added a few songs that I know are good (this I decided to do after reading some forums where they mention bad ID3tags have caused the problem...still no go. Besides, it was doing it out of the box, nothing on it besides what comes with it. Plus, where at first I could hold the power button for 15 seconds and get it to reset and work, it's now at about 40 seconds that I have to hold it to reset.
Thinking I'm going to go exchange it tonight and see if another one will work better, if not, then maybe I'll try to find an older gen Clip and see if it's any better.

On a positive note, I found a 120 GB hard drive for the Zune that I'm going to try and revive mine with (crossing fingers). Even if it works, I still want/need a smaller, lighter device for the aforementioned activities. Kinda interested in the MotoActv (something like that), but A) not interested in the price, B) too expensive, and C) I had another reason before but can't recall it now :/

Still kind of a bleh day...so, meh

 

Made it through a round of layoffs today.

Next to impossible to concentrate on anything when that is happening all around you.

200+ people. Only one thing could've made it a worse day at work......bunch of friends got the axe.

Sucks.

Ahhh, perfect...exchanged Clip Zip for prior version Clip+, Bingo! Turned right on, off, on again, off again, working like a charm. Was very tempted to try another Zip, but too many comments online about the reset thing being common, so I passed. The bad part is that I had to take the Clip to Best Buy, get the money back, and then go to Target to get the Clip+....which ironically, cost more than the newer model. But, it actually works, sounds great, and I think feels better than the Zip.

Interesting. I just bought a Clip Zip about a week ago and it's working perfectly so far. Now, Im just hoping it Stays that way.

In other news, I also received an iPad 2 from work. I haven't owned an Apple product since the IIC computer I had as a kid.

 

eesh. I took two vacation days for the same reason. I'm not back to full strength, but I am much better off than I was. Hope you're doing better today.

 

I'm in a little better spirits, but today really isn't going any better than yesterday went.

I did manage to do a little painting last night... felt the urge to do some more, but I ran out of time. It's good to be finding a bit of inspiration again. It's been missing in a big way.

One of my lifelong dreams has finally been realized.

 

Yeah, forget shutting down SOPA/PIPA, the real power of the internet is to get dehydrated marshmallow products available to the masses. 'Tis a glorious day, indeed!

Now if only we can get clothing optional laws passed throughout the land, I can start making real headway on my bucket list.

 

For the past three days I have been sick with the flu. I am feeling much better day. Great deal of great posts to go through. Missed being around here.

 

peppermint? marshmallows? I just don't think so.

 

Head cold starting to go away finally. Had my final "exam" today in the field, looks like my end grade for this course will be 98% for an average. I'm pretty happy with it overall. Now if I could just get moved before the end of March I'd be truly happy. Watched my youngest take his first steps over a Facebook video....again.
