  1. Like I said above, ASR quit supplying the Personnas to the large chain stores like CVS, Rite Aid etc. I have found the Schicks at independent owned drug stores, I get them at one called Family Drug, you might check if they have a store in your area. The others I find them at around here are independent family owned stores.

Amazon has pretty good prices on the Schicks.
  2. Yeah, that was going to be my next option. Thanks!
  3. And here's another option:
For the rebranded Personnas, these have 20 blades to an injector...If they are in stock delievery is rapid if you place the order by phone...
    EMS.. www.emsdiasum.com
71990 Injector Blade in a Dispenser each 4.50
    71991 Injector Blade in a Dispenser 10/lot 42.00
Tel: 215-412-8400Thats all the info...and I ordered some not long ago and got them in like 3 days...

Now some people don't like the flimsy plastic injectors that these blades come in...But I've found its a matter of finding the right moves for your razor...For instance, with my I2, I hold the injector firmly with my thumb on top and fingers underneath, so the top can't separate from the plastic bottom...Then I insert the key and rack the slide to the back. Now I lift the back of the injector a hair and move the slide forward til it starts the new blade into the razor, then I rack the slide just like I would the metal Schick injector...No Problem...But until you find the right little move, don't force it...be gentle and you'll find the right angle and it will go right in, no probs.

Would anyone here be interested in trying out Feather injector blades? I tried one in my fancy-shmancy Feather injector, but it felt similar to a Personna blade (which feels fairly rough to me). I was thinking what I would do with the other 4 in the (opened) pack I have, and I thought maybe someone here would be willing to try them. If anyone is interested, I would be willing to arrange a PIF, I just would need some advice on how to send them in the mail (I'm thinking packed individually)...anyway I think I'm getting ahead of myself a bit. Let me know guys! BTW I am planning on posting some nice pics of the Feather Injector here...sometime soon. :)
  5. Thanks Lloyd! I'll check it out. Also thanks for the tip on the injector - with these injectors being new to me I need a few tips like this.
  6. I will take you up on that offer. I will send you a PM.
  7. Ok everyone, here are a few pics of the injector I bought from KJ (thevez2). KJ, or anyone else for that matter, I forgot to ask what model and year it was, if you or anyone has that info, that would be great. Without further ado..........

  9. Nice injector. Since it has two patent numbers that would make it a G type.

  11. Very cool.
  12. I sure like the way old Luke sends a PIF. Not only did I get the Feather Injector Blades, I got a Schick I2 Hydro-Magic to use them in, a tiny Feather Travel Razor, and some extra blades.

  13. Way to go, Luke! Enjoy the new toys, Johnny.

  16. You know Injectors were how I learned to shave and were my favorites from the 2nd half of the'60's til the '80's when I got side-tracked by the Trac II carts....
After many unfortunate years, most of which I didn't even know you could still get DE and Injector blades...I discovered Corey Greenberg then TSD and the rest is history...

But it was our very own Stingraysrock/Jeff who gave me a New Years Surprise of an identicle razor to the one I first saw my Dad shaving with and many years later learned on myself...Out of the goodness in his heart the Stingster, reunited me with a 1955 Eversharp-Schick Hydro-magic and an injector full of Personna rebrands....It was like a time-machine...and it all came back to me....It was one of those life defining moments, like when you first discover or rediscover TWS...And I had rediscovered TWS but it took Jeff's thoughtful gift, for me to rediscover injectors. Rediscovering the pleasure that a great Injector brings me is unexplainable, and I know many of you can dig that.....THANKS JEFF !!! Thank You Brother

Here she is in a SOS pic...thats my Dad's mug on th e mug :) And what looks like a deoderant stick here is holding my Arko SS...

  19. Kinda pulls Dad in here with us...He would have liked it 'round here...especially this Injector Party...;) He was a Schick man from the word 'Go'...

When I first became aware that TWS was an option, my first thought was to go the Schick route...But living in Turkey there are no Injector razors here...Never were.../and I had been burned trying to use E-Bay from here so I took the easy route and copped a DE...And was so happy with it I didn't look back...But from first shave with this Schick my life was changed...in a very good way...
  20. I know it's not the best picture, but can anyone help identify these? RAD is in full swing today, these are on the way, just curious about what they are. Thanks!
