That appears to be the D.R. Harris H2 (Rooney 1/2) in best badger. I have both the H1 and H2 and they are both great brushes. They tend to like a little more water to start a good lather. I've had mine for a little over six years now and they are both still going strong.

Thanks for the information, I already wondered who made the brushes for Harris. I just checked the box, there's a little sticker that says H3. That means it's even bigger, I guess.

Yes sir, the H3 is the biggest they make in that series.

Ha, no wonder it felt a little hefty :)

Here are the specs of each:

    H1 - Loft 45mm - Knot 22mm

    H2 - Loft 49mm - Knot 24mm

    H3 - Loft 52mm - Knot 26mm

And of course, the handle size is different on all three.

Not the best picture, but here is my H1 and H2 for a size comparison.

Of course (!) I took some measurements just now (and had to convert cm's to inches), but it's definitely the H3 big one. I'll try to be a liitle more generous with adding water tomorrow.
    Thanks for the info!

    Neolithium I am Canadian, eh

That H1 looks like my favourite size. May have to look into one since I do want one higher end British Brush eventually, even though my stable is being populated by Omegas lately LOL.

    Sunday 29th January

    Real Shaving Facial Scrub
    Proraso Pre Shave cream
Ford & Medley of Sheffield 333 5/8 razor
    Simpson Duke 2 in Best
    Florena Shave Cream
    Alum Block and Lacura moisturiser
    Swiss Pitralon AS

A long hard day in the lab....so it was a late shave for me. This was the first shave with my traditional straight since I 'attacked' my pasted strops. Well I must have done something right! The tugging blade was so smooth, and I had my best Trad Straight shave to date A DFS+ with three passes.

    OCMM/Ted Pella's Gem SS PTFE
    Vie-Long horsehair brush
    Ceramic bowl
    SOTQ B3 Cantaloupe SS
    Cold water splash
    Alum
    Nivea lotion

Nice Sunday shave. Without a hurry, with such slow passes. Almost meditative experience... Nice and smooth, no wonder, as the set up is all my favorites. The bad news is my Vie-Long continues to shed out, it's performance begun to drop down and I think it is close to retirement and future reknotting. Pulled out the Koh-I-Noor 'Big boar' that PanChango/Dale sent me recently. Leaved it in the air, I think I'll break it in soon.

Thumbs up for GD. It is rarely to see someone uses that brand as everyday shaver.
