I have used a brush and soap (whatever we have had around the house) for many years. I only recently started using a DE and better quality soaps and creams. Well, all three of my kids will only wash their face if they can use my soaps/creams and apply it with a brush. Of course, I should not say *only*, they are good kids but they just love the feel of the brush and making thier own lather. Once they apply it, they use a facecloth. My daughter LOVES Col Conk lime and VdH Deluxe soap. My youngest likes to rotate between those and Truefitt and Hill rose and lavender. My oldest prefers anything that is glycerin based. Ages are 9-13.Now, just as I look forward to the shave, they must have the cleanest faces in town!
That's awesome! What a nice way to share in the great hobby of wet shaving. My son is 8 and he loves to use my old brush as well. It's great to see them get into it - It's so much fun. I just hope you don't go to use your favorite soap one day only to discover that it is all used up!
Well, the T&H are of course expensive but they use so little, and I make them lather up 3 times(!), that there is enough for them to share a bowlful. It is a blast to watch them doing this.
If you really loved them, you would get them their own bowl of MWF. I understand times are tough, but where's the sacrifice?
Funny man, you are, Randy! One person with this soap/cream illness is plenty. But I am going to get them each a brush. The girl likes boar and the boys like badger. Birthday presents to be sure. Maybe I will get them their own tub, but it is fun sharing.
That is funny, my 3yo daughter likes to come in when I am shaving and check out the brush and lather. She enjoys smelling the lather and brush. When I'm done, she gives me a hug and smells my face and says you smell good dad. I love that, feel like a real dad then.
What a great feeling. My 9 year old daughter loves to watch me shave and I have to get her thumbs up on the scents I choose. If I shave in the morning before she gets up, I have to go to her room and give her a kiss so she can smell my aftershave. That's something I hope she will always remember. I sure will.
Almost makes me miss having the kids around and young again. Almost. Oh, well. I'll be able to spend some "shave time" with my grandson in a year or so.
lol, my three year old son was watching me shave a couple weeks ago. I was in the process of re-lathering when I felt something very cold against my side...he was pushing my razor into me!!! Needless to say, I jumped about a mile (and luckily, he was just pushing the top of the head against me). I think he was trying to be helpful and hand daddy back his razor. He loves to watch me shave though, and whenever I put on aftershave, he says "daddy, make me a smelly boy too!" Old Spice seems to be his favorite.
