A recent thread reminded me of my Floating Head injector. It gives a fine shave, although the way the head moves takes a little getting used to. The brush is the first one I ever tried re-knotting, maybe a year and a half ago, maybe two. Anyway, I did a very ugly job, but it works excellently. It's broken in very well, builds a nice lather, and hardly ever loses a hair. I just end up using my boars more often. This week's soap is the humble VdH. What can I say that hasn't been said already? It just works.

It is wonderful, scent is great, nice cooling effect. Since it came in I've used it after almost all shaves I've had.

 

A young Marlon Brando? I suppose he's pausing in the middle of a shave to see how it's coming along and to take a smoke. To my generation he's The Godfather, but this is more On the Waterfront.

Super smooth shave as always from the Feather AC - SS, i've been working on a new project a custom vintage sheffield Kropp in Lignum Vitae with white acrylic liners and lignum wdege, it's starting to look really nice, I should have it finished hopefully before the weekend, I will post some pic's when finished.

Haven't used my puck of Williams in a while. It doesn't have all the cushion of other soaps I've been using, but provides a nice slick shave.

 

Oh it is sunny alright, sunny and fricken coooooold! Like 37 degrees or something.

 

Definitely the Brando eyes.

 

MWF MONDAY!
HA! after using proraso all last week I was ready for a change.

Prep: hot shower
Razor: Gillette SS

There is something about MWF on a cold crisp morning. Its like a warm hug for your face.
The Feather AS-D1 has ruined me on other razors and blades. I used to get a great shave with the SS loaded with a Astra blade. Today it was all tuggy and burny and bumpy and just not cool.
good shave, just not a great shave.

 

That's pretty cold for you guys down south.

This weekend was pretty brutal with nasty winds, but at least it is supposed to break freezing today.

 

It's a balmy 7F degrees here this morning. Spring is just around the corner.

 

And I thought 23f degrees was cold.....

 

Monday 13 February

This was a very nice three pass, DFS+. Smooth and Chilly. I got up early to enjoy my shave, and no one else got up, I forgot its a holiday. Well not for me, I have to go to work, but I didn't need to get up to get a nice relaxing shave. Oh well, it was very good. The Gillette 7O'Clock yellows that scott pif'd me have been doing great so I pulled out the 7O'Clock super platinum blue this morning. Very nice, I think the blue is bit smoother, but the yellow with Milord did an awesome job last week.

I hope your shave is as enjoyable as mine.

 

I too like the 7 O'Clock Blues. My favorite DE blade.
