  1. 1) Look into the inverted method. Otherwise, water will start dripping through the filter immediately. With the inverted method you have more control on the steep and the oils are on the end bottom end when you start pressing. Also with this method, there is no chance of tearing up the filter with whatever you are stirring with. If you don't use the inverted method, the stirrer works well and avoids touching/damaging the filter. If you loose it and use something else, there is a risk to messing up the filter.
    2) rinse the filter with water - yes the filters can be re-used - they do make a metal mesh filter, but I haven't acquired one yet to try

  5. so, just saw the wife's Shih Tzu "humping" one of HER (yes, the dog is a spayed female) favorite stuffed animals, a little pink piggy. As if that wasn't odd and humorous enough, my wife thought it would be funny to the add the "Weee!" sound from the Geico commercials.....

I'm just now getting my breath back, and getting off the floor from laughing so hard and having a back spasm from it

  6. Indeed, and indeed. I don't use the inverted method very often, but when I want a very strong cuppa, I do.

Other than that, I'd say, enjoy it! Use some good quality coffee, make it according to included directions at first, then start experimenting with inverted, different brew times, etc.

  13. Morning everyone!

Another busy week, between 4H and other club meetings for daughter, valentines day on Tuesday, daughter's birthday, detention duty, etc... Some sadistic person scheduled a lab for valentines day where kids had to use actual beef liver. I wonder what sicko planned that one. Oh yeah... me. Now I just need to have time to pick up the stuff...

  15. I'm glad you approve! I think I might set it as my tablet's background, myself. It's definitely a subject I want to revisit, because I know I could do much better, but I'm pretty proud of it for only being about an hour's work.
  16. I was able to come to work and be happy about the 2 weeks worth of work that I need to "TRY" to get done in the next 3 days. :scared011:I think it is the fact that it is a 3 day work week for me and that I will be accepting a promotion being offered wich will mean my current work will be done in a few months!:D
  17. so the morning started off as usual, until...
