A Late Menthol Report Try as I might, today just wasn't meant to be a great shave. A darn good one, but not great. My face has just been very dry and today, real dry. An old friend, Jockey Club Talcum helped sooth a rare rough shave. TSD ISZ Preshave Omega 10005: what a surprise. I love it. Proraso SC Merkur 37 C Slanty TSD ISZ Witch Hazel/Proraso Barbers Choice Menthol-from ebarbershop, u be chillin' The not so fun shave still beat my appearance at DMV which lasted 3.5 hours and cost two hundred dollars. Tomorrow will be better The post shave products made me feel great and the Caswell Massey Jockey Club finished everything off in style. All in all, not bad.
Tuesday: Makeshift scuttle (I heart Pyrex custard dishes) Shave secret (Can't bring myself to throw it out yet... Love the tingle and enjoy the smell) Musgo Real (Least favorite of my creams) Merkur 180 Fresh Merkur blade Gillette Cooling Moisturizure 6/10 on the shave rating scale... My gripes--- I really don't care for the Musgo. At all. Period. But, as TOTTM (the one that tolerates me) says, I am a cheap so-and-so and will not waste anything. I've had a 100g tube since Sept. Only 1/3 of the way through it.

I needed an extra touch up along the jaw lines to be able to call this a DFS. The menthol illness is really getting hold on me, but I'm not so sure that's a bad development
Yea. I got an error notice after submitting the first time, and made the mistake of hitting the "Post" button again. OOOPS! My bad.
Tuesday: Omega Wooden Handle Super Speed/Wilkinson Sword day 6 Blix Fresh SC Arko Aqua AS Gel Obsession For Men EDT For those wetshavers who are not familiar with the Blix Fresh cream, it's pretty well the identical thing to the Arko Moist. It has the same good lather, with a not-so-pleasant scent, and although menthol is listed as an ingredient, it's barely noticeable. The Arko Aqua gel is super-nice. It really cools and soothes the skin very well. Sorry, no pictures today!

I did 3 passes, 2 WTG & 1 XTG, really slow and careful, concentrating on technique (angle & pressure) and still have stubble on my entire neck and red dotties - it's driving me bonkers. My second shave with the Proraso pre, and I was a little more liberal with it this time, applying with each re-lather/pass to my wet face ... holy crap I've never felt anything like that in my life, my face just ... I can't even describe the sensation; I'm sure you guys know what I'm talking about. I love it! I need to get some menthol stuff I think ... WOW
