Yesterday the mailman delivered this: This morning I of course had to try it right away. Not the best menthol scent, but great lather, nice menthol kick and leaving my face feeling very smooth. And today I brought this home from the barbershop, just in time for the MWF week...
Nice! LOL. I first read 'gore' ( for the non-Duth readers: 'gore' means 'repulsive', so: repulsive shaving cream )
It's Christmas all over again, except I didn't get any of this stuff for Christmas and that's why I bought it now. Arriving today and weighing in at a total combined weight of a svelte 2 pounds - outta West Coast Shaving - we have......... A brand new Simpsons Colonel brush, RazoRock Artisan - Boston Tea Party, Speick shave stick, a Norton prep stone(not pictured), and a free puck of Provence Sante Green Tea shaving soap. Also entering the ring today, direct from the "Amazon" We have Team Schick, consisting of 4 packs of seven blades and ready to take on the toughest whiskers. Everyone is clambering to get used first and it's going to be quite the brawl to see who prevails and gets the honor of the next shave. Thank you for watching and join us next time when we have a great tag team match with an in house melee of TSD soaps. Good Night.
Enjoy the Colonel! Once I got mine for Christmas I haven't really used anything else. It is great for both soaps and creams.
Oh my, the wrong label was put on that package. Please forward to me as it still looks like Christmas outside here. Very nice.
I forgot to post this pic my thiers issard straight I got last year, sorry for poor pic quallity, Its not shave ready I intend getting both thiers shave ready in the spring time
I liked my Red Tip Smoothy. Its a really good razor and just aggressive enough. I'd have kept mine if I wouldn't have gotten the R-41 virus.
Tom, Dang, what a haul!!! I'd pee all over myslef just trying to decide which to try first. Let us know what you think of the RR Tea Party. It sounds great. Do you plan on grating the Speick stick?
As CyanideMetal said "Red Tips are awesome" I PIF'ed away my American made Red Tip, it was a great shaver. I'm holding on to my Red Tip Rocket as it was a gift from a member and also 1 of my favorite razors. Enjoy!
Well it nearly came to that, but I was able to just barely hold it back. I went with the Colonel and the RR BTP(Boston Tea Party). I have to say the RR BTP was not what I expected as far as the scent goes. That's not a bad thing, it was just different. It is a subtle scent that definitely doesn't assault your senses. I rather like it, but wish it was a little more "potent". The scent itself is pleasant. It is of green tea, which is what I didn't expect. For some reason I had more of a black tea odor in my mind. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm thinking that the name "Boston Tea Party" infers a certain type of tea. I'm not sure Sam Adams and company threw overboard many crates of green tea, but that could just be me. Anyway, it has a nice clean, green tea scent that I probably wouldn't be able to place, but saw the ingredients and said, "oh yeah, that's it". It also has a little tabacco undernote that I really like. All in all it probably isn't my favorite scent, but I did enjoy it and the performance was stellar, which just about goes without saying for the RR products. As for the Speick; I haven't really thought about it. I enjoy using my Arko stick as a stick, so I guess maybe I'll just leave it as is. Or maybe I can go half and half.
I've read others say the BTP was was on the mild side in regard to scent, but no one really objected. I think you're right that Adams and co. didn't break open creates labled "Snapple".
