1. If I'm not mistaken, "ya'll" is singular. "All ya'll" is the plural ;)

  2. Guess I'll better stick to: "everybody" :D

Why doesn't everybody speak a decent language like DUTCH ?!:p
  3. "All ya'll" is for the big city folk, us country boys just said "ya'll". :)

  6. Used MWF my last two shaves to get my face right, and now I get a whole week. Good thing I have the cabinet below the sink for reinforcements.

  9. A couple in rotation this week. Homemade brush and I've been on a Harris bender for the last several days, Marlborough and Almond. The razors are a Johan Engstrom frameback (Sweden), and a 5/8 Size-Gold (France). Both razors are superb shavers. The Engstrom has an arrow and 1874 on the blade. My understanding is that's when he set up his factory. That would be a couple of years before Custer's Last Stand. If some of these old razors could talk.......

  10. Haha, the only soaps I don't use this way are Proraso (too soft) and the soaps that are melted into a bowl like TSD. Have to find something for that...

Prep: Hot shower; Yardley bath bar
    Lather: MWF - face lather
    Brush: Simpson's Commodore X2
    Razor: Merkur 39C - SlantHammer
    Blade: Voskhod (1); 3 passes
Post: Cold water rinse; Krampert's Finest Bay Rum

First full shave with the SlantHammer and I'm very impressed. This razor is S.M.O.O.T.H. So far I much prefer this to the feeling that the R41 gives me during the shave. I'm really developing some theories about DE blades and irritation/weepers. Complete BBS (even in my tough spots) with zero touchup. I look forward to seeing how easy it is to use this razor daily when I use it again tomorrow morning. Oh yeah, and I'm already loving the idea of using MWF all week long!

  12. Hard to beat the Hammer, especially with a great blade! Glad you're enjoying your "tour de razor". Have you tried the Fatip yet?

  14. Nope, the FaTip will be the final one I try. I'm going to use the Slant most likely for the next 2 shaves for 3 total and then switch to the FaTip for another 3. Should give me 3 shaves on each razor. This is quite fun! :happy093:

    Monday's Presidential Shower and Shave
A long hot shower using a bar of Razorock ginseng.
The Omega "Midget" tackled the MWF with absolute ease. Recently I made a small adjustment to my bowl lathering. I was bowl lathering with the entire puck, till learned that there was a better way. Now I load the on the brush and then lather in bowl. This one small tweak has made the lather so much better.
Razor chose today a Gillette Knack with a Persona Blue
After three passes polar water splash, toner Thayer's Witchhazel, the finish touch Tet-A-Tet balm.
 rated this DFS a 9.
