Happy Humpday! 2-22-2012 Hot shower Merkur HD 34C w/ Wilki (1) Kent VS30 Proraso pre (green tea w/ aloe) Proraso soap (green) Another 3 pass (WWX) DFS - thats 3 in a row for me, and that's a first! First run with a Wilkinson Sword blade went well, not super smooth, but it did the job. I'm really starting to like the Kent brush - it's really scraggly looking, but it works really well. I guess looks can be deceiving. I've been using the Proraso pre-shave as a post as well, it's awesome! Enjoy the day!!

Good Morning Everyone! Gillette Flare Tip SS Feather Blade (New) Simpsons Berkeley Cella Cold Water Rinse So today I decided to finally rip open the stuff I haven't had a chance to play with since I haven't been home since Christmas. I loaded a new feather into the Gillette that I freshly cleaned with scrubbing bubbles - glad I did, taking a peek at the blade angle it looked like an extremely mild razor and it was an accurate assumption. Gave up face lathering this morning to use my vintage Old Spice mug and the new Simpsons brush. Flawless shave that just felt perfect to me in every way. I'm enjoying the Gillette more than any other razor I've used so far, even though its mild it still mows through stubble as it did when it was made almost 50 years ago. Unfortunately for my wife I'm now dead set on more vintage Gillette's...and Simpsons brushes LOL.
Wednesday Hot Shower(soak brush,Semogue 620) Proraso PrePost creme Arko shave stick Weber SS/Gillette 7 O'Clock Black (2) Cold Water Rinse Monster Block Alum(clean brush,razor,police area) Cold Water Rinse Myrsol Aqua De Limon mixed with a pea sized amount of 444 Ahh the Aqua D,nice menthol great lemony scent which fades within 5 minutes.I think Myrsol may have as much menthol as the Floids.Todays shave was pretty good,I got a nice close and smooth shave,face and head.
Wednesday: Barbasol Prep Dovo Natural Barbasol with Aloe Alum Block Witch Hazel Afta Fresh Balm Old Spice After Shave Was feeling lazy and have been wanting to try the Barbasol routine with my straight for some time and today seemed like the day to do it. It might not be as exciting or luxurious as a soap and brush but the results are just as good. I've got no complaints from today's shave.
