Ichabod Conk Lime SS Sabi Long HD 3 piece Big Ben Super Stainless blade - 2Pass Cold rinse Finished with Booster Jickey AS I purchased these Big Ben blades (made by Lord) some time ago. Tried them once and found them too mild, put them on the back shelf and forgot them. Saw them today and gave them a second chance with this slightly aggressive Sabi. I was quite surprised, in this razor they delivered a very nice shave!

Thursday EJ 8911 with iKon handle Feather day 1 Vulfix best badger travel brush MWF TSD Iced Eucalyptus WH Proraso splash Last weekend I planned to reduce the number of razor changes and next thing happening is this iKon handle being delivered. So when I changed blades this morning I of course took the iKon handle, but kept the EJ head. That’s only a half razor change, I guess. And then I had a great time with this hefty combination. I really like how a heavy razor feels while shaving. I used to think that a heavy razor would increase the applied pressure, but the opposite is true. The Hega aftershave has a very light neutral scent and feels cool and gentle on the skin.

Thursday 2-23 - Vintage Virgin day Teenage Head - DoubleHeader hot shower Proraso pre-shave (green tea w/ aloe) Proraso soap, green pure badger Y3 Gillette Super Speed w/ Wilki (2) I've been trying not to shave everyday, but since I got this little package in the mail yesterday I had to try out my first badger brush and my first razor that's older than I am. I stuck with the same setup as yesterday so I could compare razors. I really dig the badger brush, very different than my cheap synthetic & boar; I had a bit tougher time lathering the Proraso soap with it though. The razor, well, let me just say that I completely understand now all this talk about razor agressiveness. Comapred to my Merkur 33C, the SS felt like I wasn't even shaving. WTG I couldn't tell if I was just scraping off lather or actually shaving. I went for an ATG pass and it worked out much much better than with the Merkur, and that was the only time I could hear/feel the blade. I had a couple weepers which disappeared quickly with a styptic pencil, and after a cold water rinse and some Proraso pre-shave as AS, I'd say it was definitely a DFS.

Good Morning Everyone Gillette Flare Tip SS + Feather (D2) Cella + Simpsons Berkeley Cold Water Rinse + RazoRock Alum Stick Had to break out the alum, gave myself a couple of weepers on my neck though I think that's cause I'm still half asleep thanks to StarWars: The Old Republic LOL. Still would give it a DFS though, nice and smooth with no irritation.
