Doug, it really is Karo. In the Cyrillic alphabet, which Russian, Bulgarian, Ukrainian, Macedonian, and Serbian use, the P is pronounced like an R. This cream comes from Bulgaria, but don't waste your hard-earned money - it's just got very good lather - nothing else. :)

The Specials! Nice! :) Had one tape cassette, but since the cassette player has passed away, I haven't heard them for a while! :sad023:

Too bad the Kent boar didn't work out - with this soap. Perhaps an other soap-Kent combination will work out better, though. :)
    Glad you attained DFS eventually!

I'm really in love with Simpsons brushes right now. This thing lathers like a champ and refuses to release any hairs. This going back to vintage is just worth the hours on eBay. Stay tuned for me firing up my modern razors for sale to members ;) Goin' back to basics baby!

It's really hard to beat a vintage Gillette TTO....I know many cats have other favs, and some change their favs on a weekly rotation....And thats very Cool...But the point is, with care, and technique most people can get a shave from one of the Gillette TTO's worthy of being a favorite...:)

    Sundays Shave
    Hot rinse
    arko shave stick/maximum Comfort SC
    omega 10029
    1965 Gillette adjustable-4/4/6
    Perma-Sharp Super d1
    Arko-nem moisturizer/Guerlain Habit Rouge EdT

Haven't used this razor in ages...it lived up to its legendary status...Very easy to get a great shave, Gillette was really demonstrating their engineering prowess with this one....This one is like taking the Lincoln, or a Citroen DS, with the hydopneumatic self-leveling suspension out for a cruise...It's heavy and balenced in such a way that it flatens out the hills and I don't get alot of feed-back through the handle...Everything is automatic...
Although I missed the Senator from stroke one...Got a great shave though...it's just the Senator is more fun...lighter faster and it's level of aggression is perfect for me...couldn't find a setting that equals it...it only does 'perfect'...no other options....and the Senator is all about feedback through the handle and sound...more like an Alfa Romeo...

But in all fairness, this Slim would make most people thrilled for the rest of their shaving days....
Tomorrow though, it's back to the Senator for me.... Just too much fun to be legal...:)

    Sunday's Shower and Shave

    Hot Shower with Razorock Ginseng.

Next in the brush line-up was my Parker Badger, continuing with the theme week soap MWF. I decided to go SE this morning, the Schick Injector was the razor choice. Three passes, a couple touch-ups, post shave polar water splash, Thayer's Witchhazel, and Arko Balm.

The:wave:were very happy with this DFS and give it a 9.

    Everyone have a great week.

It was very nice. I still need to work on the lather. I used my new Shavemac Finest so there was a learning curve. I tell you though my face is super soft! I can't wait to get the Balance right with it. Michelle was super nice and sent me a sample of the Peppermint/Menthol. Great soap definitely getting a tub as soon as I can.

    How is it treating you?

I love it so far. Like you said, very good to the skin. The slickness aspect of it reminds me of MWF and RazoRock. Do you face lather or use the bowl? Once you get the balance right, I bet you'll really like it. Michelle's is one of the first artisan soaps I've tried that really nailed it. I use TSD soap tonight for the first time.

Thanks for the linguistic lesson and warning, Jeff. I am not sure that I have anything other than excellent DE blades from that part of the world.

    Last Sick Shave, Work Tomorrow

I wanted to get my favorite Sunday shave in, and did.

I choose Vitos for pre and post duties. I then selected my Omega 10005 with Razo Rock Caprician Lemon.

After a nice three pass shave, it was time for a little witch hazel, more Vitos, and some AV Ice Sport. I will be back tomorrow. Thanx for the notes and the well wishes.

William, what do you think of the Rooney Heritage? The Creed T.M. is my alltime favorite. Your wife must be chasing you around today and if you are driving somewhere it seems to permeate the steering wheel and linger in the car for days in a pleasant way.;)
