Tuesday! Prep: hot water rinse, hot washing cloth Music: Alexander Desplat, Harry Potter & The Deathly Hallows Part 2 soundtrack Brush: vintage DVH boar (heard yesterday it's from before the eighties) Cream: TSD Wheat Cream (oak leaves & acorns) Razor: Gillette Flare Tip Rocket Blade: Merkur 4!-pass shave + touch-up Post: hot water rinse, cold water rinse, TSD Witch Hazel Cedarwood I had rehoned and restropped the Merkur blade (since it failed the HHT yesterday). To no avail, still a fail. Had to go for 4 passes to attain a reasonably FS. So no DFS today . De blade will be properly disposed of. Another blade tomorrow! See ya!
Hey, Danny. I hear that the customer feedback was high enough for a coated handle that they are in the works of producing one. Seems I remember Weber estimating them being available in a couple of months.
Gillette Flare Tip SS + Rapira Simpsons Berkeley Cella Cold Water Rinse + Old Spice Classic A/S DFS this morning, Rapira's on it's last legs though so I'll be switching it up to something more Feather-like tomorrow just for the heck of it.
Tuesday 28th February Hot shower and facial scrub Proraso Preshave Cream Feather Artist Club SS Newforest 2222 High Mountain Badger Ingram Shaving Cream 444 ASB Pecksniff's Leather Cologne Another shave with the NF2222. I have been breaking it in for a proper review with pics. Unfortunately it looks as if I will just be telling you what you have missed. They have all sold out already. Lets just say that it is a great little brush. Todays shave was a dfs+ 2 pass. Shaving with the AC helped to focus the mind before I went to work!
After the day when it dropped 20 hairs, I gave it a combing and cleaned it again (water vinegar soak). The first use it didn't lose any hairs. Yesterday, it dropped one hair. If it's only a hair or two a week, I can tolerate that, but much more will drive me nuts. I ordered a back up just in case. I really like the brush. It's nice and soft with a little bit of backbone and is just the perfect size for face lathering.

Tuesday Prep: Hot Shower face wash with Everyman Jack face scrub Razor:Gillette Ranger Tech Blade: Crystal (3) Soap/Cream: C.O.Bigelow Brush: Rooney 2/1 Post: Cold Water rinse AS: Mama Bears Winter After Shave Balm (Spellbound Woods) Results: Good Shave Coming to the conclusion that Crystal blades are not for me. Had problems over the weekend with an OC Tech. Went back to the Ranger Tech with the Crystal blade and while I didn't have the iratation or nicks from the weekend the shave was not as close as I like and there was quite a bit of pulling. Back to Astra SP.
