Just a little rough along the jaw line, but not a bad shave to finish the work week.

I need to start incorporating this kind of prep work into my shave.

Prep: Hot shower, soak EJ Pure badger brush in warm water while in shower, cover puck of soap with warm water after shower.
    Brush: EJ Pure Badger hair
    soap: EJ Sea Buckthorn
    Razor: EJ DE89L
Blade: Lord Platinum SS, Shave 3, Day 4 (did not shave yesterday)
AS: Cool Waters alcohol-based AS splash following warm and cool water rinses.

Results/Commentary: Perhaps my closest wet shave yet! This is my first go-round with this blade. The first day I got a decent shave, but a good bit of irritation. 2nd day the shave was better with a bit less irritation, so I took the 3rd day off. Today was a quite close shave with significantly less irritation/burning. I also used the AS splash rather than a gel this morning, which seemed to calm the burn down more effectively... Up until this morning I was ready to write this blade off, but now I'm not so sure...

This old brush is amazing! After some soaking (as usual) I thought I had shaken it well dry, so I whirled it over the cream and then brought it to my face. Where almost a gallon of water/cream mixture splashed out of the brush onto my chest! Well, not exactly a gallon, but it sure was a lot! :D Still there was enough cream in the brush to last a 3-pass shave. A shave which ended up, by the way, into a clean BBS. Man, I do love this brush and razor! :love055:

    Have a great weekend, all!

    Friday's Shower and Shave

A hot shower with Razorock bar soap. Can not wait to try the bar soap, that I ordered from Amber Bathworks.
Next in the brush line-up was my Omega "48" boar. I chose Mama Bear's Hydrogen. The Omega annihilate Mama Bear soap, whipping mounds of lather.

Today was razor and blade changing day. I chose an old style Gillette open comb, loaded with a 7o'clock blue.
Mama Bear's soap lather provided for three comfortable passes.

After three passes I followed with a polar water splash. After pat drying my face I toned my face with Thayer's Witchhazel, to finish a great shave applied Fitness balm.

The:wave:were singing their praise for this DFS and rated it a 10.

    Everyone have a great weekend!!
