  1. Wife is trying to call bank (on 4th phone call now) to cancel a lost debit card. Why is the first question they ask is what is the card number and security code? Hello... the card is lost she doesn't have the code.. duhhhh....

Yup... it is still one of those days
  2. 84 degrees here in south Florida. lol. Sorry guys :bounce015:
  3. mid 60's in Northern Indiana. Just about perfect weather... Sorry it is so hot and miserable there.
  4. The 11 hours I worked today is the shortest workday of the last 3. Exhausted to say the least.
  5. My ship picture won a picture challenge on flickr! I get to choose the next theme. I chose "Heavy."
  6. They're saying it'll hit 93 today. It's March 1st for goodness sake!
  7. Nice of Westjet. They removed excess luggage fees for all members of the Canadian Forces so I don't pay for my ultra heavy bags stuffed with uniforms - and they thought ahead and even though our reservation didn't have seat selection they made sure all six of us are sitting together of their own accord. Love that airline now.

  9. For those of you that still have some insanity... Do you recall this video?

Well, she is still warped as all get out.. It takes a while before she gets crazy...

  10. Made a couple Harry Houdini coasters for a friend at work. I think this was my favorite of the lot. houdinicoaster.jpg
  11. yep. still warped. although I think the first video is crazier. I mean, the second one only has one singing stomach, while the first has bouncing eyeballs and bats produced from nether regions.

  14. Wow it's been a bloody busy week. Almost cleared into base, the new hotel is rather quite nice - I'm abusing the hot tub with the big screen TV in front of it ;) Picked up the keys to my new place on Friday afternoon and swung by yesterday to have a peek before my Monday afternoon walkthrough - newly renovated PMQ I'm quite happy with it. Unfortunately the last time I was at CFB Edmonton it was relatively small, so now I have to run out and buy myself a vehicle or walk 6km to work every morning BEFORE doing unit PT....I think a Dodge Truck is in order here.
  15. Maybe someone form the US can explain this to me, but I'm curious as to why there's so many ebay sellers that won't ship to Canada.

I mean, really, is it that much more difficult to fill out an extra little piece of paper
  16. I think it comes down to business sellers. The post office will pick up domestic mail at a business, but international mail needs too be brought to the post office. For an individual who needs to go to the post office anyway, not shipping to Canada is silly. For a business it's a little more understandable.
  17. There's no tracking.
  18. yeah, I was thinking more of the individuals - I can't tell you how many times I've asked a seller why they won't ship to Canada, and the response is along the lines of 'it's too much hassle'.

now that kinda makes sense. so in your regular USPS mail service, you automatically get tracking?
  19. Yep.

I ship internationally, but it is a hassle.
  20. interesting. i guess i get it now. i mail to the US quite a bit and for us it's no more hassle than domestic; you just have to fill out the customs sticker.
