How's Your Day? Archives

Well today is a new day and has new problems. I need for those that pray to pray hard. My nephew has been going through a lot this past year and just came out of Detox a few weeks ago and went to Lincoln City Oregon to live in a halfway house. I am not sure of how or what took place but last night he overdosed on some sort of over the counter drug which mixed with his ADHD meds. He stopped breathing for 10 min and is now in ICU under heavy sedation. The Doctors are saying he will not make it.

There is hope for the hopeless, rest for the weary, love for the broken heart, there is grace and forgiveness mercy and healing he will meet you wherever you are, cry out to Jesus!

 

Well, Newbie here. My wife just got me an awesome birthday present! Check it out. Can't wait to start my foray into wet shaving! Thanks for all the pointers on this forum!

 

A new week! How's it going?

 

It's good so far. Enjoying hanging out at TSD! It has become addictive, lol. I belong to B&B and SRP, however they're not as interesting as the den. In my short time here I have chatted with many wonderful people. So I say good day to you!

Back to work...and back to training. Today is going to be RUSHED and I don't know how I will survive this week. It is just going to be soo busy!

 

Just met a guy from American Idol--Dave Pittman. He has tourettes syndrome and came to the school to talk about bullying and sing a few songs.

I'd never heard him before, but he's got a great singing voice. Real nice guy, too.

 

Did he curse at the kids and force them to sing along with him? That would be funny.

 

He has the type that makes you grunt and twitch. It was almost painful to see, honestly.

 

I know two people with tourettes and they are very talented and bright people with a great sense of humor.

 

I've been around people with neurological disorders before and I was less shocked by the tourettes than I was by the fact that I actually liked an American Idol contestant. I kind of despise shows like Idol and it humbled me to realize that at least some of the contestants actually have a personality at all.

Further evidence that my views on Tuesdays are correct. Absolutely the worst day of the week, by far.

in other news, I bought a comic book today. First one in something like 10 years. And I enjoyed it. I even enjoyed laughing at the "graphic novel" description on the cover.

 

Speaking of comic books.....Anybody into the TV series "The Walking Dead"?

 

nope, but my Facebook status page exploded the other day with everybody commenting on it

 

Didn't those interlopers not read the fine print about bringing El-Explodos in to Facebook!

 

I wasn't either, but my 13 y.o. son got me hooked
