Once again I've decided to get things running for us here at TSD, so I hope it'll be ok!

Menthol Monday:

This Proraso White soap may not have the strongest menthol but it's still strong enough to be felt and enjoyed. The lather and the scent are so nice, and the soothing and protection are wonderful. The Svoboda balsam is in a class by itself - I know I have another tube of it in the house somewhere, but I don't know exactly where. I hope I find it before this tube runs out.

My own Monday shave was, I have to admit, Menthol-free. I've used following set-up:

Calani Cadre Noir shave soap
Mühle Basic Nr. 02 shave brush with Silver Tip Fibre
‘60s British Gillette Flare Tip Rocket
Feather (new blade)
D.R. Harris Bay Rum after shave

The puck of Cadre Noir soap is nearly gone, I will re-load the soap dish with another one later this week hopefully – am eyeing the Purissima, also from Calani, which is smiling at me from the top of my stash ;-)

If you haven't tried the RR KL AS, you're missing out. It's all natural with no preservatives and has grass and flowers floating in it so you need to shake the bottle before using. It has the right amount of menthol and it sooths skin like no other. I mix in a bit of TSD's Special Milk for good measure and I'm set.

I only needed a 2 pass shave today for my face,WTG,ATG,and my normal ATG for the dome,BBS all around.Right now I feel I've found the perfect blade (Voskhod) for the 39c.It's just so smooth and efficient,very close to Feather AS-D1 smooth.

This mornings shave was a bit rough, and I think it had to do with my technique. My face isn't used to the everyday shave, but I am trying to make it used to it. Came out of it with some irritation and a couple weepers, but I'll live to shave another day!

No, I'm at home in Montreal, it's just that lately I've been a little eager to start off the theme.

 

Hot shower
Henckles rapide
Gem balde
Proraso soap + ASB
rubberset brush.

DFS shave, had to find the angle with this beast took a couple of mins but cuts very well, I'd say similar to the R41 you need to give it some respect, not a razor id use for a time restricted shave, will send out my wedge blades to Jamie for honing to see how the stack up against the gems, if there better (knowing the quallity of Jamies work im sure they will be) I may have to get a SE razor to use the other 9 blades I have

 

Isn't that Proraso White soap lovely? It's one of my top favorites. For sensitive skin, it works so well, and the scent is great!

Seems Techs work best for me when paired with an Astra SP. No complaints about this shave
