    WOW!! You're a very lucky cat! One for having your G'Dad's razor...and two, that your G'Dad was hip enough to have such a cool razor to leave you...;)

    Another fantastic and super-enjoyable shave with one of the best creams ever created - the Tet-a-tet lathers so well, it smells so nice, and it has a wonderful cooling effect. The matching aftershave balsam is so moisturizing and cooling, and it leaves my skin feeling great! ;) :D

    Saturday, April 7, 2012. Good Morning!

    Morning Coffee: Hills Brothers Original Blend
    Prep: Wash face with Musgo Real Glyce Lime
    Razor: Schick Adjustable (5)
    Blade: Schick

    Testing a Schick Adjustable sent to me by a friend. Will give my opinions after Saturdays shave. Well, it's Saturday.

    I found the Schick Adjustable to be a very interesting razor. I tried every adjustment from 1 to 7 during this 5-day test and believe it covered everything from my E3 to my J1. Setting the razor on 7, it felt more like my E3 while setting it on 6 reminded me more of my G1 and I2 Hydro-magic. Settings 3-5 fell more inline with my I1 and J1 Schicks. Both settings 1 and 2 were just to mild for me.

    Overall this is a very good razor, however I find I prefer my G1, I2 Hydro-magic, and I1 to this razor and I think it boils down to just one thing for me, the length and feel of the handle. I have always preferred short handled razors, even in my DE razors.

    I much appreciate the opportunity I was given to test this razor as on more than one occasion I almost bid on one. I will stick to my tried and true Schick G1, I1, and I2 Hydro-magic for my wonderful Schick shaves and leave the adjustable to those that prefer them.

    Prep: Hot shower; Yardley bath bar
    Lather: MWF - face lather
    Brush: Semogue 1250
    Razor: Schick I1 Injector
    Blade: Chinese Schick (4); 3+ passes
    Post: Cold water rinse; Krampert's Finest Menthol

    Shave #4 for the Chinese Schick & it still feels like new. Excellent result even though the lather took more effort. The 1250 just isn't breaking like the 820 & 1438. I guess it just needs more attention.

    Merry Easter Eve!

    I think the Tech & the Ladas are a winning combination. Second time using the P.160. The almond scent seems to have toned down, which is good. Lots of luscious, easy lather.

    Prep: 30 minute marinade with TSD ISZ PSB, strop str8, hot shower, soak brush
    CD: Accapella ~ Resurrection
    Coffee: Home roasted, fresh ground Malawi Mapanga AA, BLACK
    Strop: VB 2" Black latigo/linen
    Soap: TSD SOTQ C2

    Str8: Dovo Astrale A&F, 3 passes
    SE: Schick injector E model, touch up
    Post: Cold water rinse, RazoRock rub down, cold water rinse #2, Sean John Unforgivable

    A very nice shave.

    The coffee is from Africa. First time trying it. I normally roast to FC+ or Light Vienna. I took this one to FC. Excellent.

    The scent of this quarter's SOTQ, C2, didn't impress me coming off the puck, but it turned really nice once it was lathered up.

    Saturday 8th April

    Hot shower and stubble treatment with conditioner
    3P Pre/Post shave cream
    Dovo Tortoiseshell 5/8 Special
    Vulfix Grosvenor 404 Badger/boar
    Tweex Shaving soap
    Alum block followed by 444 ASB
    Proraso AS
    The Body Shop Kristna EDT

    A long relaxed post nightduty shave. 3 pass BBS. The Dovo was my Special for the day, and performed impressively.
    This was my first use of the Tweex soap. I found smell and performance to be very similar to Arko. While it is always great to try something new....I will probably stick with the Arko. I have a number of sticks left from a multibuy.....the Tweex is more expensive and does not offer any advantages over Arko (In my opinion). Hope everyone has a great Easter Holiday!

    Saturday, April 7, 2012 - Midday Shave:shocked003:

    Prep :: Warm water wetdown
    Razor :: Schick E1
    Blade :: Schick
    Soap :: KMF Cream
    Brush :: Rudy Vey Silvertip
    Post :: Alum, Cold water rinse, WH & Rosewater
    AS :: RazoRock King Louis AS & Tet-a-Tet Balsam

    A rare Saturday shave. I was bored so I shaved.

    I ran out of my KMA shave cream, so I chose my bottle of KMF cream, which I have never used before. I must say that I am borderline shocked at how well and easy this stuff lathers. Almost too easy. It gives great protection too. The E1 just glides riaght across the skin. I'll be using this bad boy much more often, especially for uber lathers.

    The RR KL AS & the Tet-a-Tet hit if off immediately. This was the first time I've used the two together and it was awesome. Have a happy and safe Easter every body!
