Just got word that my FIL is giving us a 50inch zero turn cub cadet! For once I'm kind of looking forward to mowing.

Micah, how'd painting go this week? Get everything coated you'd planned on getting to?

Didn't get started. The weather put us far enough behind that we just opted to postpone painting and enjoy spring break.

It has not been the best of days. I was pulled over for speeding I have not had a ticket in over 30 years.

 

Sorry to hear it. I've personally been very lucky on the speeding ticket front and never had one (knocks on wood).

same here. In fact, been driving for nearly 20 years, and have only been pulled over twice...both in the past two years, both only warnings - both pissed me off severely
(once for license plate light being out, once for plastic license plate cover over front license plate that state trooper said was "illegal"....though it came from the dealer like that, and had been like that for 4 years...)

 

Unlike you I have had been issued a ticket - for careless driving no less. It was after my accident that was caused by someone hitting me and sending me into a fishtail on wet roads/icy shoulder. I fought it and ended up paying a smaller fine and getting no points in a last minute plea bargain (careless driving is actually a class III misdemeanor in CO). Yeah, after having my vehicle totaled and thinking I'm going to be severely injured (but not a scratch, thank GOD) I wasn't happy about a ticket.

 

Well today has been fun. I was off from both jobs.. My buddy has a young GSP that he is working with and paid for a preserve hunt to work his dog. I got to shoot some pheasant and chukar, but gave them to him since he paid for the birds. After that, I shot some skeet with some friends. I just put a nice brisket in the Kamado. In 12 to 15 hours, I should have a heck of a treat. Definitely one of the better days recently.

 

Shooting firearms is therapueitc. So is brisket.
