April 18th Wash: Nivea Face Wash Pre-shave: eShave Verbena Lime Preshave Oil Razor: Merkur 38M Brush: Vulfix 660S Super Badger Blade: Rapira Swedish Supersteel (1) Soap/Cream: eShave Verbena Lime SC Post: 5Savages After Shave AS: eShave Verbena Lime ASB DFS A little different than my list shave. I'm using a Rapira Swede this time, instead of the Sputnik. The Rapira didn't irritate me at all, but it also didn't give me as smooth of a shave as I've been getting from Voskhod or Sputnik. It was certainly a fine shave, but nothing more. I used the last bit of cream from my 1/2 oz travel tub of eShave Verbena cream. Awesome stuff and at some point I'll be buying a larger container. I got 6 shaves out of the 1/2 ounce tub, so roughly 2mg/shave. I still have plenty of the eShave ASB, so I'll save that for when I get to my sample of Mystic Water lime SC.

Thursday 04/19/2012 Shower and Shave Hot shower with the luxury of bar soap. Facial prep with Proraso glycerin Even though a badger was due up, I called in a switch hitter Vulfix Boar. I am finding that I enjoy the boar brushes over the badgers. I chose Mama Bear's Hydrogen and the Vulfix hit a home run in lathering it. Today was blade change and razor change, I broke out the Old Style Gillette OC with a Treet Blade. A cold water facial rinse, rubbed on RazoRock, cold water rinse. Splashed on Colonia Agua de Ruda :wave:was praising this great DFS, it was definitively a #10
Later night shave... OCMM/Gem SS PTFE Vie-Long horsehair brush Williams mug soap/Red Line SC uber-lather Cold water splash Tet-a-tet AS balm Was half asleep so cut the chin. Except of the cut - BBS, as OCMM always does!

I enjoyed it using the MWF. Not sure I would do it with my creams. I like the warm lather from the scuttle with those. Might try face lathering some Proraso in the tub one of these days.
Oy, oy, a cut - my poor friend.........I feel your pain...........With the Karo Fresh cream I used this morning, I had to be very careful because that stuff has NO slickness or real razor glide. It is the WORST cream from Bulgaria I ever had.
It did an excellent job. There was enough lather inside that brush to do at least three more passes. Just dip the tips in a little water.
OCMM needs some respect! This is a great razor, but needs attention as a straight. My only razor that gives me BBS shaves on a constant basis. Hope the day will come, when I can achieve the same result with a straight!
