Anyone have any experience with the Muhle Silvertip Fibre brush? Seem reasonably priced and sounds attractive.
I use two of them, a regular brush (the Basic Nr. 02) and a travel shave brush. Love them both, I am a face latherer and personally find that the fibre does a fantastic job.
This was a review I did of one of these types of Muhle brush: http://fidosshavingbrushblog.blogspot.co.uk/2011/07/another-new-brush-muhle-synthetic.html
I have a Muhle badger. No idea what it is as most of the Muhle label is now gone. It has lasted me quite a while and is still going strong. Use it now about once every two weeks.
I'm pretty sure, Mühle's new "Silvertip Fibre" was released in the first quarter of 2011 - your review is from 18. Feb. 2010?
There's a newer hair setup and it also comes in black now. Tieste really likes his, and its apparently as soft as silvertip, at least to him. Connaught is selling the base model for something like $25 shipped.
It looks good to me, and we all know black badger is scritchy as heck, so it would be cool to have a black bristle that was more like silvertip, even if its faux.
I got mine from Connaught a few days ago. Used it three times so far. It's so soft and comfortable that yesterday I kept lathering and almost forgot to start shaving.
