Menthol Monday

Today is the first Menthol Monday for my Merkur Futur. It was a late shave today, after the NY Rangers game, and it was well worth the wait.

The hard part was making the menthol selections. Here is what I came up with:

My first shave with this new horsehair brush and although it will need a little breaking in, it still gave me no trouble to create rich, dense lather with the Solo Menthol cream. The 444/Diana Sport combination is a formidable face-freezer!

I'm taking a short detour from the 30 Days tour to test out the Fume I received yesterday. I'm going to wait until I get a few shaves under my belt to review it, but initial impressions are that it performs well though I didn't have the water ratio figured out last night. Scent was a pleasant, mild lavender. Soap consistency was similar to a cold stick of butter. I used a dry brush to load and I think I may need to try a wetter brush.

Last day for the Lab. I got a great shave but there was a bit more irritation than the day before.

This was my first shave with a Fatip Piccolo I also have a grande.What I find kinda of funny is the Piccolo model is heavier than the grande.I usually like a heavier razor for headshaves so I went with the Piccolo.What a great lil shaver I did a 2 pass face and 1 pass head and got BBS all around with no burn or iritation.Tomorrow I'll shave with the grande and see if I get the same results.
