Tuesday 8 May, 2012, Shower and Shave

Early wake-up this morning put-zed around the apartment, then headed to the shower.
Facial prep with Proraso glycerin. It does a great job at cleansing and leaving my face slick.
Traditional Tuesday soap choice MWF. Was lathered with the Omega "48".
Razor choice the Rocket with a Ladas blade. A great combo.
Three passes today delivered a incredible DFS.
The :wave: returned from their vacation they solidly agreed this was a perfect 10 shave.

An excellent 3 pass shave.

 

Well of all the shaving creams i've tried this one is the equal to the very best when it comes to lather, but where it scores over the rest IMO is the scent is by far my favourite, it's a difficult scent to pin down but it's something you certainly wont mistake for anything else, very individual.

I will be interested in your opinions. Just when I thought I had finished buying DE razors....The Fatip appeared. I have been eyeing both of those razors with the intention of buying one. Is the screw standard? I currently have spare Ikon long and bulldog handles. It would also be useful if I could attach those!!

Great shave. I no longer attempt the elusive BBS and therefore never achieve it, but this came damn close.

 

What Nick no MWF this morning !?

 

This morning was not bad for the shave it actually was a DFS...but I paid for it later in the day.......I busted out the ol Williams Mug Soap today (modern not vintage).....I literally got the BEST lather I have ever got out of this soap today.....it was super thick and creamy (damn near how Arko Stick lathers for me) and did not dissipate on my face during the shave......however my face is now broke out due to irritation....something did not set well with my face! I dont understand.....it felt like I had good glide for the razor and the blade was sharp as all get out and my water temp was my normal. Perhaps the change in the lather in the soap was for the worst? I dunno........makes me sad to think that one of my fav soaps can betray me like this lol.....I honestly have no idea what was so different to get me such an excellent lather from williams......if excellent is even the right word!
