If you only had one line to pass on your most useful/important information or personal observation, what would it be? For me the information, having read lots on here and other forums, would be: Preparation, preparation, preparation (and technique). My personal observation comes from some of my better shaves (YMMV) and that is: Hot Towel, Cold Blade
Just like my signature line my advice would be the same. K.I.S.S. (Keep It Simple Stupid), and that doesn't imply insult it's just that newbies myself included have a tendency to over think and over complicate this whole wet shaving thing.
O.K. on shaving, "Take your time, don't try to rush." and from personal experience, "learn the direction your beard grows and shave accordingly."
The best way to go fast, is to go slow. My dad must have told me that 10,000 times, and it still took 20 years for me to figure out what he really meant. It really applies to shaving as well.
If shaving related: Take your time; enjoy the shave! If not: Stand up for what you believe in, no one else will do it for you!
Shave related: shave and enjoy Non shave related: Better wet children's feet than a dry father's throat... (guess who taught me that... )
Having reached the reflective age of 50, and going thru a lot of "stuff", this takes on the sense of The Wisdom Of The Ages to me. Thanks! It is now posted above my bathroom mirror where I will see it each morning...
