Started reading "Red Blood, Black Sand" last night and figured, how appropriate, the razor was there. Not many whiskers this morning, yesterdays shave was close. Fine shave this morning.

Didn't have too much stubble this morning, but wanted to shave anyway. I had a nice 2-pass DFS. It wasn't till I was in the car, on the way to work, that I was rubbing my face and noticed a rough spot on my right jawline. Oh well, still a DFS, none the less. Have a great day everyone.

 

Pixies!.................even better. I'm a huge Frank Black fan.

Post: Cold water rinse; Krampert's Finest Bay Rum (reform)

Oh my! What a shave. Except for a small patch I haven't figured out under my chin with the Valet this was my best shave ever. Changed my lather up a bit thanks to some chatting with Brian (ShadowsDad) and was rewarded with the densest and slickest lather I've known. Got the jawline smoother than it's been in a long time, but still not quite getting that chinny chin chin. Oh well, there's always tomorrow!

Shower and Shave

Hot shower.
Facial scrub with Proraso glycerin.
Soap choice RazoRock Fresco, lathered with a Semogue boar.
Today's combo Conard OC, and a Wikinson Blade.
Post shave, RazoRock alum and Arko balm.
Today's shave was a superior DFS.

 

Good morning.

My Friday morning shave was a very simple and leisurely one today:

Valobra Menthol shave soap
Mühle Basic Nr. 02 shave brush with Silver Tip Fibre
Feather AS-D1 razor
Feather blade (3rd shave, I think..)
Musgo Real Classic after shave

Used up the last of the Valobra soap this morning, have cleaned the wooden bowl in which I had kept it and left it to dry before I will refill with the Calani Dubai tonight. My favourite soap rotation includes the Calani Purissima and Dubai as well as the recently acquired Martin de Candre. And with 3 different rather full bowls (about 150grs of soap in each) I would think they’ll last a while.

This weekend will be a shave free one, so I guess I see all of you in next week’s SoS thread
