Just got a bottle of Ogallala Bay Rum this morning in the post( the cologne not the aftershave).
Hot shower, Body shop Maca root SC, Muhle R41 Grande with Derby blade, menthol witchhazel, and Bay rum, I love the smell and the memories of my Father wearing it!!!

Ogallala is wonderful stuff. Just remember to shake it very well before use. (Lotsa frag oils that need to get mixed up.)

And just a helpful hint...that stuff tends to burn like all get out......so what I did to mine....was split the bottle in half and made two smaller batches of 1/2 Ogallala and 1/2 Witchhazel...keeps the burn to a minimal tingle but still keeps the strong Ogallala scent!

Nice Tip, might even make that mixture with mentholated witchhazel and see what that turns out like!!!, thanks.

For this reason, they really mean it when they say, "shake well." There are a ton of yummy EOs in this stuff which separate easily. Shake very well before use and you should be good to go. Unless, of course, you want to dilute it.

No prob...I have had 2 incidents with this stuff that were no bueno!! One I was still in the experimental stage of finding my fav blades......after I used one that my face didnt like (which I had no idea at the time til I splashed on some Ogallala) .........my face turned lobster red and burned uncontrollably for like 10 or 15 minutes.....it felt like I got maced.....I was never the same again lol.......I can use other alcohol based formulas of AS's.....but with this one in particular its mighty nasty if you have a bit more sensitive skin but this is simply my theory.....I literally have not heard much of this happening to other people.....so I guess as long as theres no irritation post shave...youd be good to splash some on. lol

Oh I shake it every time....my face just did not like the original formula of this stuff....even on my non irritation days it still burned like hell fire....its prolly the most burning AS I have ever used. But not as bad to feel like I got maced in my above statement lol...that only happened twice thank god.

Sorry to hear. As you said, maybe your skin is just particularly sensitive to one of the ingredients or a combination thereof.
