    That looks like a Gillette Speedway. The Merkur was actually designed to mimic the Speedway.

    Finally got around to using it yesterday. Given the pictures on the net I think it is a Barbasol. Anyway loaded a Dorco blade and got a real good shave with 3 passes.

    Definitely a Barbasol. I have 2 of them and they are great shavers! A little on the aggressive side, but just right for me.

    Does it have an open comb on the top. If no then Mottern Man is right. Can tell about the comb from the pcitures.

    Sweet! That does look like a "solid" razor ;) How much heavier than your Merkurs is it, if at all?

    I read another thread on another board where it was stated that the Barbasol weighed 90 grams and the 38C, 112 grams. Hope this helps.
