Ya it figures they'd get all miffed..they'd have to pick all that equipment up off the lawn...

glad you got it sorted...hate when that happens (of course, the new, new guy at my previous job might be saying the same thing about me....he'd be wrong though, I hardly changed anything while I was there, and there's all new servers and switches since I left :))

Now comes the hard part - finding gear for my home network because I bloody want it at home LOL. I'm thinking the most affordable options for used gear is a 2970 switch and a 2821 router. Finding affordable used gigabit is not easy when there's a little Cisco name on the damn device. Should be able to handle my broadband 50 which is soon to be upgraded broadband 100...

yeah, Cisco is overpriced...generally good, if not the best, equipment, but they're like Apple - most folks will pay for the name alone

I figure I use it almost exclusively at work, I may as well at home instead of downgrading to something like an HP Procurve - but they're tempting little buggers. I'm still not done shopping around, particularly for routers that can handle that kind of bandwidth lol.

yeah, it's nice to be homogenous in equipment across the board if you can, then you know what you're doing at work, can experiment at home without messing up the work system, etc.

Not a bad day today, it was hot 90*f in Ga. After work I got home to some moving still should be moved into the. We place by the 14th. While shaving today my wife was up to some hyijinks and wanted to "shave" too. She lathered her face up grabbed my old ball end with no blade and told me to take a pic for her Facebook. Figured I would share it with you guys and gals. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1340763341.071924.jpg

That's my thoughts. Unfortunately I just set myself up for a boatload of research since I can't afford new gear. C'MON EBAY DADDY NEEDS TO PLAY WITH SOME VLANS.

awesome wife, but is she using too much pressure??

In unrelated news, we had plane make an emergency landing on the highway in our town today. I guess these things really do happen like the movies... Of course the plane couldn't be moved until the FAA came in to investigate. As far as I know half of the town traffic is still backed up.
