While you guys were talkin' away, I was working... [vbpg]751[/vbpg] Another view of the pavers and the ramp leading to the shed. The base of the ramp was where the dogs were helping me dig. [vbpg]752[/vbpg] Another shot of the brick pavers. [vbpg]753[/vbpg] Tying the rafters together to form the gambrel roof. Where's the plumber now that I need him? [vbpg]754[/vbpg] Some might say that I'm building an arc. [vbpg]755[/vbpg]
Cool pics, Bill.......looks like its coming along nicely Just one question: have u got a permit for that thing :rofl
Funny story....my Step Father redid a whole bathroom.....redoing pipes and what not...i asked him about a permit..he said..its my house.why do i need that. Hes from Germany btw
That's strange....I can't see the photos...I am sure it looks great though Bill based upon your other handy work I've seen
Still no bloddy nubs. Things are coming together without any big snafoos... [vbpg]762[/vbpg] My cheerleaders... [vbpg]764[/vbpg] Gotta have a window. I may need a place to sleep on occasion... [vbpg]765[/vbpg]
Very good so far. If I had the room, I would have used this as a "how to" to build one for myself. Put a pellet stove in and you can definitely sleep in there.
I can't hardly believe it. I rarely injure myself working with tools anymore. Somehow, today, I managed to get one of those really inconvenient boo boo's. Right behind the nail of my left hand. I was on the ladder running a 4-inch grinder with sanding attachment on the hip of the gambrel roof. My left hand was below the hip for balance and I was sanding on the hip line above the joint with my right hand. I was extended slightly, but didn't feel the position was unsafe. The aggressive grit of the disc caught the hip just right as I was making the last sweep to the left. The grinder went over the edge of the joint right over the top of my thumb. I was irritated that I had to stop and clean it up. I knew it would really be a dirt bomb if I did not put something over it. It smarted a bit because I used a toothbrush to clean it up. Soft bristles of course. Then a bit of Neosporin, a swath of gauze and duct tape. Now I'm good to go again. If you want to see what a half second of a spinning sanding disc on flesh does, go here. Warning! Don't do it if you get upset looking at injuries.
Thanks goodness for duct tape! :rofl too bad you got nicked/gouged/gashed,. Hope you heal up soon, Bill ::
This project is taking way too long. In my own defense, I've done everything by myself. I still have the rest of the insulation, sheet rock, shelving, and doors to finish... but it is gradually getting there. [vbpg]781[/vbpg] Oh yeah, and I gotta finish the soffit and ventilation system too. I don't think you can see the skylight that is already in place. [vbpg]782[/vbpg] There's a reason the studs don't match the rafters... trust me. [vbpg]783[/vbpg] Heh Heh Heh! I beat the rain. Whoo Hoo. [vbpg]784[/vbpg]
Sorry Bill, There is no way that building can be construed as a shed; this is a shed. Well in the UK it is anyway. :rofl We would have to get planning consent to build a construction that big in our gardens. Looking good though
Wow Bill, It's coming along very nicely and looks great. I need a shed as well, your making me think about building it myself vs. ordering one from Tuffshed or something similar. I would assume the costs of the materials aren't too bad in comparison.. Keep up the great work Bill! :signs107 :happy096
