The only thing I can think of is that instead of a clone it's the real thing. Perhaps after it was discontinued Joe was able to buy the rights to it.
Excuse me if I'm wrong, but isn't Floid blue still produced by the Colomer group in Spain? If they took over production of the Floid beauty than they probably own the rights to the formula. My Floid blue bottle also lists Citral pretty high up in the list of ingredients, so there is a citrus element fragrance wise.. I'm still confused / excited. Just looking at brushes on IB to complete my order when the time comes. Does anyone know if IB will start the new products off at a sale price? Or regular la fam. Prices?
I don't know if they own the rights but Floid Blue has been discontinued worldwide. There's a few places that still have stock for the time being (Prices matching the discontinuation lol) but once they're gone, they're gone. Prices, no clue but Joe is always very competitive with his products, that's a guarantee with him.
Floid Blue is discontinued AFAIK. The new artisan soaps will be on sale for 20% off the regular artisan line pricing. He hasn't said a price on Baby Blue yet.
I'm definitely waiting on the baby blue. I came a little late to the wet shaving game and missed out on Floid blue, I know it's still out there but I don't want to pay for it. I am still waiting to pull the trigger on some of the amber but this might make me hold out a bit longer.
Bad news found on another forum about the new release. Joe -- are things still on track for tomorrow? About what time do you estimate the new products will be up for sale tomorrow? Actually, no... some stuff is stuck in customs so now it has become a waiting game with no ETA at this point. Sorry I don't have better news.
Yeah, I was wondering, because I went to IB this morning and didn't see any of the new products. Well, now the waiting game starts.
Just posted by Joe: Just got an update... The container cleared customs but we can't get delivery today. Monday is Canada Day and the country is closed so we are looking at Tuesday (at the earliest). This kind of puts a crimp in my plans because ItalianBarber/RazoRock will be on vacation from July 10 to August 10; I wanted a full two weeks to sell the new products before we left. Next week is going to be a bit of a mess now; oh well... that's how it goes sometimes. Also, we found a nice stash of NOS Bakelite Slant razors in Italy... These are making their way by Air to us... The anticipation is killing me! Tension so thick you can cut it with a knife..I mean razor. Seriously though, I hope I can get an order in and shipped before they shut down for bit. If not, I may really go crazy!
